’90 Day Fiancé’: Tania Says She Likes To Flirt With Guys Other Than Syngin
Tania Maduro hasn’t been a fan favorite on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé Season 7 since she first appeared with her South African fiance, Syngin Colchester.
The 29-year-old Connecticut native especially shocked many viewers with her announcement that she was headed to another country for 30 days in the middle of their first 90 days together in the United States.
While Syngin remained at home with Tania’s mother (in a she-shed behind her house, no less), Tania took a monthlong intensive on natural remedies and herbal medicine. On the Dec. 29 90 Day Fiancé episode, “I Don’t Have a Choice,” Tania and Syngin fought it out over Tania’s flirting ways and her lack of communication during her trip.

Syngin asked Tania’s family members if she had a history of infidelity
At the beginning of Tania and Syngin’s segment on “I Don’t Have a Choice,” Syngin reflected on his recent arguments with Tania. While he felt “abandoned” by her while she was in Costa Rica, she seemed to be living it up and just fine without him. “I hate it when we fight and we can’t resolve the problem,” Syngin confessed to producers.
And while visiting Tania’s sister and her husband for dinner, Syngin’s insecurities about his relationship with Tania became all the more clear.
“Syngin seems a little sad just because I feel like she’s not doing even a basic level of communication,” Tania’s sister said of the 90 Day Fiancé star. Even she and her husband felt Tania wasn’t doing enough to make sure Syngin knew she was safe after a night out at the club, drinking and dancing.
Syngin even admitted he wondered sometimes if Tania would be faithful to him during her trip. He asked Tania’s sister if she’d ever cheated on previous boyfriends.
“I know she’s been cheated on,” said Tania’s sister, looking concerned. “Why are you thinking that? Just because she’s not talking a lot?”
Syngin told producers Tania’s tendency to “come across flirty” when she was drinking worried him. But he wouldn’t stick around if Tania cheated on him in Costa Rica. “I’d just pack my bags and leave. I’m not gonna sit around and sort that one out,” the 90 Day Fiancé star said.
Tania admitted she likes to flirt
As Tania got ready for a fun night out, she admitted she sometimes indulged in a little flirting with other guys she found attractive. “I like to flirt and I like to talk to other guys that I think are cute. I can’t really do anything more than look. But I can still look,” the 90 Day Fiancé star laughed.
At a Costa Rica bar, Tania danced with a few guys and even FaceTimed Syngin alongside one of them. But when Tania took her phone outside to talk, her tipsiness and Syngin’s impatience with the situation led to an argument.
“We’re dancing… I’ve been drinking some,” Tania admitted.
It was clear that Syngin had had enough. “I can definitely tell you’ve been drinking some…you seem all over the place, to be honest,” he told her, obviously annoyed.
“I just want you to be safe,” Syngin continued, asking Tania to make sure to let him know she was home safe and sound at the end of the night.
But his fiancee wouldn’t budge on the promise. “I love you and I’ll try my best to let you know when I’m home,” said Tania.
Syngin began to lose his temper, saying it wasn’t too much to ask and Tania could at least make the effort to communicate when he was stuck in the U.S. without her. “You’re drunk in a strange country,” he pressed. “You can f***ing help me by just letting me know when you’re home.”
Tania responded with a click as she hung up the phone and headed back inside the club.
Tania said Syngin asked for ‘more commitment’ than she could give
The next day, Tania woke up to a number of missed calls, as she’d once again forgotten to let Syngin know she was back in her room.
“I feel like I’ve had so many missed calls from you. It’s just a lot,” the 90 Day Fiancé star complained when Tania and Syngin reconnected. “I said I’d work on it. You can’t get mad about something I never promised you.”
“It’s a simple little thing I’m asking you,” Syngin pushed back.
Finally, Tania admitted she was feeling too much pressure to conform to Syngin’s expectations in the relationship. “You keep asking for more commitment than I can give,” she insisted.
But Syngin finally put his foot down. He told his fiancee he had changed everything for her. Meanwhile, he claimed, “You have not really changed much about your life at all.”
