’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’: Armando Gets Frustrated With Kenneth’s Inability to Speak Spanish and Fans React
Armando and Kenneth are finally living together in Mexico, but the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple is facing a few new relationship hurdles. Armando acts as a translator anytime he goes out with Kenneth, and he is beginning to get frustrated with his fiancé’s inability to speak Spanish.
The ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ stars moved to La Misión, Mexico
Kenneth and Armando have been dating long-distance for a few years. But on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, viewers saw them leave their families behind and move into their new La Misión home.
Kenneth, originally from Saint Petersburg, Florida, moved to Mexico for Armando’s young daughter, Hannah. The 6-year-old doesn’t speak much English, and the couple didn’t want to bring her to the United States, where she would have a hard time adjusting to the language. And Armando revealed that he chose the northern Mexican city as their new home because of its potential job opportunities.
“Kenny and I have already found a place in La Misión,” Armando told producers. “There’s more opportunities for Kenny to also work. And for both of us to make a living there together.”
Armando is frustrated with Kenneth’s inability to speak his language
After moving in together, the 90 Day Fiancé couple tried to adjust to their new life as a family. But when Armando realized how often he had to translate for Kenneth when talking to Hannah or anyone else in Mexico, he suggested his fiancé take a Spanish class.
“It does kind of feel like I’m having to care for two people right now, not only Hannah but Kenny not knowing how to communicate,” Armando then told producers. “At certain points, it gets a little frustrating because he’s the one that’s living in a Spanish speaking country.”
’90 Day Fiancé’ fans react to Kenny’s lack of Spanish skills
Armando and Kenneth are among the most beloved couples on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. But after seeing Kenneth barely try to learn his new country’s language, fans started calling him out.
“Come on dude! I love you and Armando’s relationship, but you knew you were moving to Mexico and you didn’t learn any Spanish?” a Reddit fan wrote. “You knew you would be the other daddy to a little Hispanic girl and you didn’t learn any Spanish? No, no, no…”
“He is the one who moved to a Spanish speaking country to be the step-parent to a Spanish speaking child,” another Redditor added. “He could start by getting one of those language learning apps made for children that teach Spanish using game format — What if he was home alone with the little girl and something happened and he needed to call 911? How would he describe what is happening? It is almost a RESPONSIBILITY to learn.”
Fans will get to see more of Kenneth and Armando’s relationship drama as this season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way continues. New episodes air Sundays on TLC.
