90 Day Fiancé couple Jihoon Lee and Deavan Clegg have been through their fair share of ups and downs. The young couple was recently rocked by the grief of a miscarriage, though they do share a healthy baby boy together. Lee also helps parent Clegg’s daughter, Drascilla.
However, it turns out there’s more to Clegg’s story. Fans have been curious for some time about Clegg and Drascilla’s past, and it seems as if Clegg might have some difficult people in her life. Clegg has previously dished on escaping an abusive relationship in the past, and is now opening up about the real reason she made the quick move to South Korea.
Clegg and Lee rocked by miscarriage
Deavan Clegg only recently revealed to fans that she and Jihoon Lee had been expecting another child. Unfortunately, Clegg and Lee recently suffered through a miscarriage together. Clegg uploaded a sonogram of the child she miscarried, and wrote a lengthy caption detailing her and Lee’s feelings.
Clegg wrote, “A lot of people have been asking if I am pregnant. I haven’t address this head on yet. I want to first start off by saying, thank you so much for your support and love. With heavy hearts we have to announce sad news. Last Monday we did end up losing our baby. We are heart broken and focusing on healing.”
The 90 Day Fiancé star continued,“I want to apologize for not telling anyone sooner. But we needed this time to heal as a family. A lot of people go through this, and we feel for so many people and wish everyone who has suffered through this same situation happiness and healing. We are healing and doing better, and want to thank everyone for your support during this very difficult time.”
Fans took to Instagram comments to express condolences to the grieving parents. “So sorry to hear about your loss. It takes a piece of your heart with you when that happens,” wrote one user.
Another added, “So sorry for your loss Deavan and Jihoon. My mom miscarried twice. The pain never heals from losing a child or loved one ever. I hope you guys can make it through this hard time. My prayers and condolences go out to you both.”
Clegg opens up about Drascilla’s father
90 Day Fiancé fans have been curious about Clegg’s past, especially when it comes to her daughter, Drascilla. Many fans have wondered who Drascilla’s biological father is, and what went wrong in Clegg’s relationship with him.
Clegg decided to clear the air somewhat, but to simultaneously ask fans for a little more space. “People are messaging and commenting asking where Drascilla’s bio father is,” wrote Clegg on Instagram.
“This is a sensitive subject and I would appreciate it if everyone would stop. I escaped a very abusive relationship and I am recovering from it, so please stop asking, it will be addressed later,” explained Clegg.
Unfortunately, it sounds as if Clegg’s ex isn’t the only person causing her trouble.
The real reason for the move
Fans have been curious why Clegg decided to move to South Korea — she and Jihoon Lee could have moved to the United States instead. Clegg decided to open up about the real reason for her move — a troubling relative.
Clegg explained on Instagram, “We have decided to move to Korea so I could be a stay at home mom and raise the children. This wasn’t an option in America until Jihoon could learn English. As well, I was in danger.”
“And America became a very unsafe place for me due to a family member. This family member tried to kidnap me and steal my car while I was pregnant. This action is what made us fully decide to move to Korea,” added Clegg.
In a side note, Clegg wrote, “My family member is a dangerous person. So I’ll be in Korea for a long time. Because for some reason they keep letting her out of jail.”
