’90 Day Fiancé’: This Man Might Have the Highest Net Worth of Any Cast Member
Sure, the cast of 90 Day Fiancé is on the show to prove that international love can work, but they aren’t just doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. They are each taking home some pretty hefty paychecks. The amount of money that each cast member makes depends on a few things. But one cast member’s 90 Day paycheck combined with his regular salary may make him the cast member with the highest net worth in the history of the show.
How much does each cast member make on the show?
Cast members have been reported to make $1,000 an episode of the show. But they are only paid for the episodes in which they appear. So, those with less interesting storylines will obviously make less than those with lots of drama. If the cast members appear on the “tell-all” reunion specials, they get a bonus.
Who is David Murphey?
David Murphey appeared on season 4 of Before the 90 Days. When viewers first met Murphey, he was trying to prove that his girlfriend Lana was real even though she stood him up every time he went to Ukraine to visit her. Eventually, Murphey hired a private investigator who warned him that Lana was probably just a scammer.
Despite everyone else’s concerns, Murphey went to Ukraine again and actually met Lana in person. He proposed and the two got engaged. Murphey and Lana are currently in different countries as the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has made traveling difficult.
How much is David Murphey worth?
Before going on the show, Murphey was already well off. He worked as an SR Systems Programmer for Clark County in Las Vegas, which could earn him up to $110,000 per year, according to Distractify. When taking his salary and assets, including his home in Las Vegas, into account, Murphey’s net worth comes to $2.5 million, according to Screen Rant.
Murphey has hinted at how well-off he is before. When discussing how much money it takes to use Ukrainian dating sites, he revealed that spending thousands of dollars on dating was nothing to him.
“I was spending $2,000 per month dating when I was dating in the USA,” he wrote in an Instagram Q&A. “Dinner, shows, activities, and travel. When the website came out I just transferred that expense to them. I know, I know. If you earn 4k a month, this is crazy money, but not if you earn 15k plus. None of this money is lifechanging to me.”
On the tell-all special, Murphey revealed that he has spent between $250,000 and $300,000 since switching over to dating Ukrainian women. This money went to flights, dating sites, and buying things for the women. On the show, he gifted Lana with a phone so they could talk to one another more regularly.
“Even if you did it the cheapest way possible, you are still going to be out $15,000 just to get someone here finally,” he continued in the Q&A. “But this will be the same cost if you find someone equally as far away. This is using legitimate methods of meeting someone. Never respond to someone on social media and never ever send any money.”
Luckily for Murphey, money doesn’t seem to be an issue.
