’90 Day Fiancé’: Which ’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Defended Nicole Nafziger?
Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé are, according to Nicole, still together. Still, single mom Nicole remains in Florida with her young daughter May, while Azan lives in his home country of Morocco.
The couple hasn’t seen each other in well over a year, leaving many believing Azan is taking advantage of Nicole. Negative comments about both Nicole’s relationship with Azan and her appearance seem to be weighing on her, though. The 90 Day Fiancé star recently spoke out against social media criticism, and her TLC castmate Jon Walters defended her to fans.
Nicole has spoken out against social media hate in the past
Nicole and Azan have had a tumultuous relationship. The 90 Day Fiancé couple’s time together has included dubious missing money, multiple cancelled wedding dates and trips, K-1 visa delays and denials, and even infidelity. Many fans wonder why Nicole remains devoted to Azan, but she insisted the couple is “stronger than ever” in a recent In Touch Weekly interview.
On Dec. 2, Nicole clapped back at all the hate she gets on social media for staying with Azan.
“All the haters in the world can talk about me and my life but no one will knock me down from where I am,” the 90 Day Fiancé star wrote in an Instagram post. “I’m living my life spreading positivity and kindness. No one can throw off my vibe. God made me with the spirit of kindness and I’ll show it til the day I die. Come one come all haters, you won’t phase me.”
The ’90 Day Fiancé’ star’s castmate defended her on Instagram
An unlikely ally showed up in Nicole’s defense under a makeup-free, filter-free selfie she recently posted on Instagram. “I am only human,” the caption read.
Jon Walters, a British former 90 Day Fiancé star who recently celebrated his two-year anniversary with his American wife Rachel Walters, stepped to the plate to congratulate Nicole for staying positive amid criticism. “You’re a f**king legend,” he wrote to Nicole in the comments. “I don’t know anyone who could endured the bully and harassment and opinions from rotters like you have for years not have a mean bone in your body.”
Nicole responded positively to Jon, saying she “needed to hear that.” And when fans argued with Jon, he doubled down, defending both himself and Nicole from social media “trolls.”
“You know who isn’t only human?” the 90 Day Fiancé star wrote in one comment to a critic. “Trolls and cowards and losers who are on social media with fake troll accounts so they spread hate and bully with anonymity.”
Fans flocked to the post to offer their support
Although some 90 Day Fiancé viewers took the opportunity to ask if Nicole and Azan were still together, many others stepped in to boost Nicole’s confidence. Some congratulated her on being such a good parent to May, while others told her to ignore the social media hate during the holidays.
One particularly supportive fan praised the 90 Day Fiancé star for staying so consistently optimistic and positive. “Don’t sell yourself too short there, Nic,” he wrote in response to her caption. “You’ve got the strength of dragons. Watching what you’ve put up with these past years, trusting, leading with the chin, and never getting down in the mud with the pigs, it’s commendable, admirable. All the while raising a child.”
