Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou from 90 Day Fiancé have been having a tough time figuring out how they’ll stay together. That’s because Tefou is from Morocco and was previously denied the K1 visa. Will he try again? Here is everything you need to know.
Azan Tefou was denied the K1 visa
Couples on 90 Day Fiancé typically have one person go to the United States on a K1 visa. They then get married before 90 days. Things were different for Tefou and Nafziger because he was denied.
“You know that I did everything right with the papers and stuff,” Tefou claimed. He said that he kept being questioned about a past relationship.
“That guy kept like asking me a lot of about my last relationship,” he revealed. “I used to date this girl from Belarus and I went there before I knew Nicole. I think that the guy from [the] Embassy like, he keep asking about my trip to Belarus because he didn’t believe the relationship between me and Nicole. He thought if I’m just like, trying to leave Morocco and go to Belarus and do the same thing like — just to leave Morocco and go to America.”
He also reportedly overstayed in another country when he used a visa. That is what led to him getting denied.
Nafziger said he’ll apply for the spousal visa after they’re married
Fans couldn’t help but wonder what the couple planned to do now. The reality star revealed their plans on Instagram.
A fan asked, “Is Azan allowed to ever reapply for the K-1 visa?” She answered in her Instagram story according to In Touch Weekly, “He is allowed to but it’s a matter if he’ll get denied again and most people do if they were denied the first time. We are going to apply for the spousal visa after we’re married.”
Another fan asked when she’ll return to Morocco. She answered that she can’t say. When someone wrote asking why she thought Tefou would be approved for the spousal visa if he was denied for the K1 visa.
“They are not the same thing,” answered Nafziger. “Many Moroccans are getting denied their K-1s right now. It’s not just Azan.”
They plan to get married in Morocco
The couple previously talked about getting married, then changed their plans. They claimed they were going to use money to open a beauty store instead. It turned out that plan was a lie as well.
“Why did we lie? Because we suck at reality TV. IDK. I’m so tired of this show. Sorry TLC. I”m tired of y’all. But they didn’t tell us to say it,” she wrote on Instagram.
She also talked about how she felt about wedding planning. “Too much pressure, not enough time or money. You can’t rush this kind of stuff. Do it in the right moment and it wasn’t the right moment yet,” she wrote.
In her more recent Instagram story, she gave an update on their wedding plans. “So our plan right now is actually for me and May to move to Morocco, marry and stay there for a little while before attempting to come to America,” revealed Nafziger.
The reality couple plan to get married overseas then have him apply for another visa. It doesn’t seem like the couple have a wedding date set.
