’90 Day Fiancé’: Will Olga Koshimbetova Have to Return to Russia Now That She and Steven Frend Are Broken Up?
Olga Koshimbetova and Steven Frend are one of the latest 90 Day Fiancé couples to call it quits. Though they made it through their season together and even got married after the cameras stopped rolling, the two have decided to go their separate ways. So, what does that mean for Koshimbetova? Will she have to go back to her home country, Russia?
Steven and Olga’s relationship
Koshimbetova and Frend intended to just have a fun romance while Koshimbetova was in America for the summer. Those plans changed when she got pregnant with Frend’s child. Frend then went to Russia so he could be present for his son’s birth. While in Russia, the two fought constantly and realized that there were a lot of things about their relationship that dind’t work. When it was time for Frend to go back to America, he revealed that he hadn’t actually applied for the K-1 visa for Koshimbetova to move to America so the two had to wait before she could move.
Things got rocky for Steven and Olga
In April 2019, the Russian mom finally was allowed to move to America, but recently people noticed that Frend was not in as many of Koshimbetova’s pictures on Instagram as before.
“Where is Steven?” she captioned a photo on Instagram, addressing fans’ questions. “Where did you go? Why did you go alone? And many many others questions I received when I told that I’m going to California.
Koshimbetova went on to explain that she went to visit her uncle and had planned to go visit him earlier but the trip got rescheduled and she just decided to go alone.
“And another reason: why it was a good idea to go alone without Steven, because we finally started to miss each other😂😂 Spending 24/7 with each other can be really tough,” she wrote. “Did ever go somewhere without your partner? Or do you always together?”
Steven and Olga’s breakup
Shortly after Koshimbetova posted that she was just starting to miss Frend, he announced that the two had broken up.
“People keep asking if Olga and I are [together] but the answer is we went into this super blindly,” he wrote on his Instagram stories. “There’s a lot the show left out that’ll have people confused but we have learned a lot about each other over this whole journey but we’re better at being coparents to our boy. We are both civil and cause no drama because our son’s mental health is too priority. P.S. Don’t assume you know the full story from this one little post.”
Koshimbetova did not write a post about the split but she did respond to a fan in comments captured by In Touch and say that she didn’t wish to talk about the breakup.
Will Olga have to go back to Russia?
Koshimbetova would like to stay in America even if she and Frend are not together. Luckily, she had already begun applying for a green card before she and Frend decided to split. Recently, she gave fans an update on her green card status.
“We finally received a letter with a date for my interview for my green card ( at the end of November),” she wrote on Instagram. “We have been waiting this letter 166 days 🤪For a past few days I felt so much alive, I started dreaming again, making plans, I was also working on my photoshop skills. I would say I saw a ‘light at the end of the tunnel,’ finally, things started moving and changing. Mood 10/10.”
So, it looks like the young mom may be able to stay in the U.S.
