‘A Christmas Prince 3’ Is Basically A Rip Off Of Meghan Markle’s Life Story

No one asked for a second sequel, but Netflix is giving us A Christmas Prince 3 anyway. On Match 11, 2019 –Netflix announced that A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby is on its way. The new artwork for the upcoming movie includes a sonogram image of a fetus wearing a crown. From where we’re sitting this all looks extremely familiar. Is A Christmas Prince 3 stealing Meghan Markle’s life story?

Is A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby ripping off Meghan Markle’s life?

The official description for A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby reads, “It’s Christmastime in Aldovia — and a royal baby is on the way! Amber (Rose McIver) and Richard (Ben Lamb) host royals from a faraway kingdom to renew an ancient truce, but when the priceless 600-year-old-treaty disappears, peace is put in jeopardy, and an ancient curse threatens their family!”

Though plotline with the ancient curse seems like a Disney knock-off, the rest of A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby seems to be ripped from the headlines of Meghan Markle’s life. After all, the Duchess of Sussex is set to give birth in late April or early May. Also, A Christmas Prince 2: The Royal Wedding, came out only a few months after Prince Harry and Meghan Meghan Markle’s own wedding.

Other similarities between Meghan Markle’s life and A Christmas Prince

A royal wedding and a royal baby aren’t the only parallels between the Suits alum’s life and the Netflix film trilogy. When she began getting serious with Prince Harry before getting engaged and marrying into the British Royal Family –Meghan Markle had to give up the life that she’d worked so hard for.

The former actress left her career in Hollywood behind, exited her hit show, Suits, shuttered her lifestyle blog, The Tig, closed all of her social media accounts, and moved across the pond to live in the United Kingdom. Though Markle was relatively well known before she became a duchess, her new status propelled her into the spotlight in a huge way. As a result, she has been forced to give up her privacy and anonymity.

In A Christmas Prince 2, one of Amber’s main struggles is fitting in with the royal family of Aldovia while trying to remain true to her self. She continued to question if she was fit to become a queen.

When will A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby premiere on Netflix?

A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby will be headed to the streaming service in time for the 2019 holiday season. Rose McIver and Ben Lamb are set to reprise their roles as Amber and Prince Richard respectively. According to The Hollywood Reporter, principal photography is currently underway in Romania. Let’s just hope Meghan Markle and Prince Harry don’t welcome twins or else unexpected –Netflix would have to go back and reshoot the whole film.
