Abby Huntsman Net Worth and How She Makes Her Money
Abby Huntsman is best known for her appearances on Fox News and The View. Here’s Abby Huntsman’s net worth and how she makes her money.
How Abby Huntsman became famous
Abby Huntsman got her first media experience when she was 16 years old. She worked behind the scenes at Good Morning America. However, her early experience in a television newsroom proved to be tougher than she expected. That rough start caused Huntsman to temporarily give up her dream of a television career, reports Elle:
Everyone who’s been on a news desk knows that you learn a lot just from the environment, from being around the writers and the producers. And sometimes you’re yelled at. I remember, many times, walking to the bathroom and just crying. As an intern, I was just like, “I don’t know if I can do this. This is tough.” …But then you get up the next day, and you do it again.
Huntsman later changed her mind and decided to give a career in television another try. During her time at the University of Pennsylvania, she had the opportunity to intern for Diane Sawyer. Huntsman told Elle that Sawyer was a source of inspiration:
In college, I interned for Diane Sawyer my sophomore summer… She’s probably the person I look up to most in this industry… I always think of her as someone that I hope I can try to be like, because she’s represented herself in such a classy way and brought so many incredible stories into people’s lives.
Abby Huntsman was a host on HuffPost Live from 2012 to 2013. Then, from 2013 to 2015, Huntsman was a co-host on The Cycle. The following year, she served as a guest co-host on the show America’s Newsroom. From there, Huntsman moved on to Fox and Friends, where she was a co-host from 2016 to 2018. Huntsman joined The View as a co-host in 2018 during season 22.
Huntsman’s television career hasn’t been without some controversy. Early in 2019, ABC was criticized for allowing The View host to interview Ivanka Trump. Critics felt the interview was biased because Huntsman’s father worked for Donald Trump as the U.S. ambassador to Russia at the time of the interview. During the interview, Ivanka said she and her husband, Jared Kushner, did not get special treatment from her father to get security clearances. “The president had no involvement pertaining to my clearance or my husband’s clearance, zero,” Ivanka told Huntsman.

Outside of working in television news, Huntsman is also an author. She published her first book, titled Who Will I Be?, in October 2018. The children’s book addresses the importance of service and giving back. Who Will I Be? is inspired by Huntsman’s daughter Isabel.
Huntsman is the daughter of Jon Huntsman Jr., former Utah governor and 2012 presidential candidate. She became involved in her father’s presidential bid after he asked her to be his media adviser.
