Levine has a ton of tattoos, but some are more meaningful than others. For example, he has the word, “mom” etched on his arm. Apparently, his mother is not a fan of all the ink, so he got the tat to try and appease her. He revealed that it was, “A last-ditch effort to gain my mother’s approval. She hates this one slightly less than the others.”

California love

He also has the words “Los Angeles” stamped just below his shoulder. He explained, “Simple case of hometown love, Not many people were born and raised in L.A. Gotta wear that badge of pride.”

True Love

The Maroon 5 crooner also has several tattoos symbolizing his love for his wife, model Behati Prinsloo and his two daughters, Dusty Rose and Gio Grace. He got a series of hand tattoos that spell “True Love” which pay tribute to Prinsloo whom he married in 2014. Also, he has a rose etched on his chest that symbolizes his love for his first-born child.

What was Adam Levine’s first tattoo?

Levine’s very first tattoo was a dove which he still has on his shoulder. The crooner got the tattoo back in 2001 when he was just 21 years old. He told People, “This was my first tattoo. I was 21. It was five days after 9/11. I felt this need to say something with this peaceful thing on my body.”

What is Adam Levine’s biggest tattoo?

Levine’s most prominent tattoo is the massive mermaid that he has on his back. The intricately done piece, created by tattoo artist Bryan Randolph took six months to finish. The tattoo showcases a winged mermaid cluthing a skull. It’s a gorgeous piece of art that also includes a ship and the sunset in the background.

Despite the many tattoos that he has, much of Levine’s ink is pretty new. The Los Angeles Times noted that as recent as 2015 much his chest was far less covered. From the looks of it, we don’t think Levine is anywhere near done inking his body.
