All the 2016 Presidential Candidates’ Favorite TV Shows

Even presidential hopefuls like to put away the paperwork and indulge in their favorite guilty pleasure TV show every now and then. While hitting the campaign trail over the last few months, the current group of candidates have revealed various person tidbits — including what series they like to tune into during their down time. From The Good Wife to Game of Thrones, here’s what the candidates are watching now.

Donald Trump

The former host of reality show The Apprentice cited another NBC show as his guilty pleasure: Saturday Night Live. But unsurprisingly, he has a specific episode that he likes best. “My guilty pleasure TV show – SNL, starring me. They got great ratings. The best ratings in years,” he told People. “It was a terrific success. I enjoyed doing it. It was 50 percent more than Hillary [Clinton]’s show. That makes me feel good.”

Clinton recently confessed to being a longtime fan of HGTV shows, like Love It or List It and Beachfront Bargain. “But I’ll tell you, what I relax by is house and garden TV,” she said during a discussion with South Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Jaime Harrison in August. “I love watching people redecorating their houses, buying houses.”

She also has an affinity for politically minded CBS shows, like The Good Wife and Madam Secretary. “Lately I’m into Madam Secretary,” she told People when asked for her favorite guilty pleasure TV series. “Sometimes us ex-diplomats need our fix!

The Vermont senator who is challenging Clinton for the Democratic nomination is a fan of ABC’s long-running comedy, Modern Family. It’s no surprise he picked a family-oriented comedy, considering he also revealed his favorite thing to do on days off is spend time with his grandkids (who call him “Grandpa Bern”).

Cruz counts two critically acclaimed shows from HBO among his must-sees: the epic fantasy series Game of Thrones and the political comedy Veep. He also told People that he’s a fan of CBS’s Criminal Minds, as well as a widely lauded crime drama, AMC’s Breaking Bad.
