All the Hidden BTS References in J-Hope’s Music Video for ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’
The members of BTS are notoriously close. Whenever a member has a solo project the other six members do everything to show their support. They visit each other’s music video sets and encourage fans to support each member’s solo work. In the music video for J-Hope’s new song, “Chicken Noodle Soup,” fans spotted hidden references to the other six members of BTS.
BTS fans spotted hidden references in J-Hope’s music video
BTS fans love J-Hope’s collaboration with Becky G, “Chicken Noodle Soup.” The solo song references J-Hope’s journey as a dancer and has a lot of sentimental meaning. Even though “Chicken Noodle Soup” is a solo song, fans noticed a hidden reference to BTS.
In one scene, a blimp flies over where J-Hope and Becky G are dancing. The blimp reads, “Go J-Hope” and then has the BTS symbol beside it. The blimp acts as a way of J-Hope referencing his friends from BTS. Fans also pointed out the blimp can be interpreted as the other members of BTS encouraging J-Hope.
“If it didn’t turn out that actually the boys are the ones who sent him that. However. I’m in love,” a fan wrote on Twitter.
J-Hope dances with six other dancers in the ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ video
Fans noticed a second hidden reference to BTS in the “Chicken Noodle Soup” video. During the chorus of the song, J-Hope dances with six male dancers in a formation. Fans theorized those six dancers represent the other members of BTS.
“He didn’t forget about his @BTS_twt brothers too. He mentioned them too. I need Hobi in my life as best friend please,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
J-Hope was nervous to travel without the other members of BTS
The day after J-Hope released “Chicken Noodle Soup,” he hosted a VLIVE for fans. In the VLIVE, J-Hope taught fans the dance and discussed the production behind the song. He admitted how nervous he was traveling to Los Angeles alone without the other members of BTS.
“hoseok left and went to LA alone, was so nervous bc the other members weren’t with him. he used body language so he could communicate with becky.. i know it wasn’t easy but he risked it all. and yep, look at the results now? IT IS ALL WORTH IT,” a fan tweeted.
Jungkook and V showed their support for ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ on VLIVE
During the VLIVE, both V and Jungkook stopped by to support J-Hope. Both members of BTS participated in the “Chicken Noodle Soup” Challenge by dancing to the song. J-Hope then told fans the challenge is easy because the maknae line picked it up so easily.
Even though Jimin, V, and Jungkook are the youngest members of the group, they are part of the dance line of BTS with J-Hope.
“I love how hoseoks example of saying the challenge choreography is easy by saying maknae line picked it up easy BDKXJDJD HOBI THEY ARE PRO DANCERS,” a fan tweeted.
“hobi: if our DANCE LINE can do it, then you can too,” another tweeted.
