All The Signs That Meghan Markle Is Pregnant With Baby No 2
It has only been a few months since Meghan Markle gave birth to her first child with Prince Harry, yet royal watchers are convinced that the former actress is already pregnant with baby number two. Markle and Harry have not said anything about another baby, but there are clues that the Duchess of Sussex wants to give Archie a sibling. Here are all of the signs that Markle is pregnant with her second child.
Markle wants more than one child
Meghan Markle welcomed her first child, Archie Harrison, back in May and has been enjoying raising the little guy for the past few months. The royal family has yet to announce a pregnancy, but royal expert Katie Nicholl believes that it will not be long before Archie gets a brother or a sister.
According to Express, Nicholl recently revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex love being parents and want to expand their small family in the near future. Most royal fans cannot wait for Markle to have another child, but Nicholl believes it might not happen for another few months.
“I think it’s probably a little premature to be speaking about a second baby,” Nicholl shared. “That said, sources close to the couple told me that they really would love to have a big family.”
The royal author added that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are great parents and have adjusted nicely to their new schedule. Nicholl also thinks that a pregnancy announcement will not come until next year, once the couple’s schedule has settled down a bit.
That said, several betting companies in the UK have increased the odds of Markle and Harry announcing a pregnancy before the year is out. The odds that Markle is pregnant with her second child are now at three to one, a significant jump from eight to one just a few weeks ago.
Prince Harry teases second child
While we wait to hear more on the baby front, Harry recently opened up about the possibility of having more children. The Duke of Sussex, who is currently sixth in line to the throne, admitted that he and Markle are planning on having more children.
The interview was a part of Vogue’s September edition and has fueled the pregnancy rumors even more. Although this is confirmation that Harry and Markle are not done having children, it does not look like the two are going to have a large family.
In the interview, Prince Harry confessed that he and Meghan Markle have agreed to stop having children after their next one is born. The couple does not want to have more than two children because they are concerned about overpopulation and saving resources. Harry, unfortunately, did not comment on when they might have their second child.
Given what the sources are saying, royal watchers can expect another pregnancy announcement anytime over the next six months or so. For comparison, Harry’s older brother, Prince William, has three children with Kate Middleton, who is rumored to be considering another pregnancy herself.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle keep Archie out of the spotlight
The news of a possible second pregnancy comes amid Harry and Markle’s efforts to keep Archie out of the limelight. Nicholl recently revealed that the couple wants Archie to have as normal of a life as possible. To that end, they have chosen to keep him away from public events – at least for the time being. This is one reason why the two decided to keep Archie’s christening private, though they did release photos from the event on social media after the fact.
Considering Archie’s level of privacy, it might be a while before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make another pregnancy announcement. Fortunately, it sounds like it is only a matter of time before the couple expands their family – and for royal fans, hopefully, that happens sooner rather than later.
Until then, it is good to hear that Markle and Harry are enjoying their new lives as parents and are excited about their future together.
The royal family has not commented on the rumors surrounding Meghan Markle’s baby plans. The former Suits star gave birth to Archie on May 6. The two are currently gearing up to go on a tour of South Africa as a family of three this fall.
