Price was suspended from Amazon Studios Oct. 12 after inflammatory details were released about him propositioning The Man in the High Castle executive producer Isa Hackett Dick. The incident reportedly occurred during Comic-Con 2015 in San Diego.
In an interview with Hollywood Reporter published Oct. 12, Hackett Dick provided details of the alleged encounter, which occurred in July of 2015, after a long day of promoting The Man in the High Castle at Comic-Con. After attending a dinner with the show’s cast and staff, Price propositioned her repeatedly both in a cab and at a company party, Hackett Dick said. His comments included, “You’ll love my d**k” and “anal sex,” Hackett Dick said.
Hackett Dick made it clear she was not interested and also reported the incident to Amazon executives immediately, she said.
While at Amazon Studios, Price had signed on with The Weinstein Company (also known as TWC) for two TV series, the $70 million The Romanoffs and a $160 million drama starring Robert De Niro and Julianne Moore. Amazon had planned to run at least two seasons of the De Niro series. After Price was suspended, Amazon cut ties with TWC, taking over The Romanoffs and scrapping the De Niro series.
Seeing other woman come out with sexual misconduct allegations against former producer Harvey Weinstein has inspired Hackett Dick to go public with her story, she said. “I think women inspire each other. I feel inspired by the other women who have been far braver than I am, who have come forward,” she said. “I hope we all continue to inspire each other and ultimately change.”
