Amora the Enchantress to Lure Thor From Jane in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder?’

Thor: Love and Thunder will be the fourth solo installment featuring the God of Thunder and the former King of Asgard, Thor. Considering Jane Foster will become Mighty Thor in the upcoming film, most theories argue that Chris Hemsworth’s Thor will hand over the hammer — metaphorically and literally — to Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster, bidding farewell to the MCU once and for all.

Hopefully, Taika Waititi illustrates his effortless understanding and balance of humor and heartfelt sincerity (once again) to keep Thor’s final moments poignant yet not too heartwrenching; Endgame conjured enough tears for a while.

While Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster is set to become the next Thor, likely to contribute to Marvel’s A-Force down the line, reports indicate that Chris Hemsworth’s Thor will still be at the center of the narrative (with Mighty Thor featuring alongside him). So, fans should expect a movie that features the God of Thunder — in all his glory — before he hangs up his hat. However, what story will the movie follow?

How will Jane Foster become Mighty Thor? What formidable foe will stand in the way this time? Who will the God of Thunder need to call upon to defend himself and others once again?

Amora the Enchantress to debut in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

According to We Got This Covered (WGTC) — relying on the same sources who knew Taskmaster would be the major threat in Black Widow — Amora the Enchantress is set to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder. Considering Amora is one of the major villains in Thor comic book lore, it’s about time she makes an appearance.

Amora the Enchantress is a goddess whose great beauty is enough to seize and hold the attention of many Asgardian admirers, as WGTC notes. Amora’s manipulative capacities and skills of seduction make her a unique villain with powers capable of threatening Thor — and those he holds dear — in a way that doesn’t require physical superiority.

Thor may have to prove his mental resilience, not only his physical strength this time around (if the Enchantress tries to seduce him). In past comic book stories, Amora has tried to tempt Thor from Jane Foster, so going down this path wouldn’t be unheard of or unpredictable. However, that’s not the only scoop.

Marvel is reportedly eyeing Jennifer Lawrence to take on the role of Amora the Enchantress

As of now, it is unknown whether Marvel Studios has reached out to Jennifer Lawrence or if this casting desire has been kept to those involved.

Though Jennifer Lawrence would likely make a great seductive supervillain — a role that would starkly contrast her Hunger Games character — she previously portrayed Mystique in the X-Men, and is in a place, career-wise, to deny roles that do not fit with her portfolio aspirations.

Looking to avoid typecasting, Jennifer Lawrence may shoot down the role; however, here’s to hoping that Amora the Enchantress appears in Thor: Love and Thunder with Jennifer Lawrence in the role.
