Amy Poehler is staying plenty busy following the end of Parks and Recreation. The actress is reportedly in negotiations to star alongside Will Ferrell in an upcoming comedy, The House.

The House chronicles the story of a married couple who lose the entirety of their daughter’s college funds. In an attempt to earn back the money, the husband and wife team up with their neighbors to start an illegal casino in the basement of their suburban house. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Poehler is currently in talks to take on the role of Ferrell’s wife, who is worried about losing her daughter when she goes off to college.

Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, the writing duo behind last summer’s smash hit Neighbors, penned the script. Cohen will also direct the flick while O’Brien will produce. In addition to starring in the film, Ferrell will produce the comedy alongside Adam McKay via their Gary Sanchez production banner.

Poehler is new to the project, but the movie has actually been garnering buzz since earlier this year, prior to her potential involvement. Back in February, the film sparked a heated bidding war, with New Line eventually winning the auction for rights to the movie. While Ferrell’s name may have been the one to initially garner attention from the studios, Poehler has her own sizable fan base and her participation would likely add a whole new level of interest to the project.

The actress is coming off her starring run on NBC’s Parks And Recreation, which wrapped up its seventh and final season in February. So far, Poehler has had no issues moving on with life after Pawnee. In fact, should she officially sign on to the role, The House would only mark the latest film in her already overcrowded schedule of upcoming projects.

The star has several high profile projects in the works. She lends her voice to the character of Joy in the highly anticipated Inside Out, Pixar’s latest film that has already earned high critical praise and is set to hit theaters this June. She’s also set to re-team with frequent collaborator and former SNL co-star Tina Fey in the upcoming Universal comedy, Sisters, which opens this December. On the small screen, she’ll reprise her role as Susie in Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, due this summer.

In addition to her roles on screen, Poehler is also staying extremely busy behind the cameras. She serves as an executive producer on Comedy Central’s smash hit Broad City, which was renewed for a third season earlier this year. The star also recurs on and executive produces NBC’s sitcom Welcome to Sweden. She will help launch Hulu’s new series Difficult People, premiering this August, as a producer as well.

As for Ferrell, he also has several projects due out over the next year. His Lifetime film with Kristen Wiig, A Deadly Adoption, will hit TV this June. He’ll also star alongside Mark Wahlberg in December’s Daddy’s Home and alongside James and Dve Franco in the comedy drama Zeroville. Also on the pipeline for the star? The comedy, Russ & Roger Go Beyond, and the highly anticipated sequel, Zoolander 2, both of which are set to hit theaters in 2016.

The House is expected to start production in Los Angeles in August and will be released sometime next summer.
