An Ex-Star of ‘The Bachelor’ Doesn’t Think Hannah B. Is ‘Prepped’ to Be ‘The Bachelorette’
Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor was full of twists and turns fans of the show never saw coming. While we know Colton and Cassie Randolph ended up together at the end and are still happily in love now, many of the contestants on the show were totally blindsided when Colton asked them to leave. Unfortunately for fan-favorite Hannah Brown, she was one of them.
Hannah B.’s mission for finding love isn’t over yet, though. While she was heartbroken when Colton asked her to go home after she met his family, she’s made it clear she’s ready to be the next Bachelorette. Unfortunately, it seems a former Bachelor thinks Hannah might not be as prepared as she thinks she is. Here’s what was said.
The new Bachelorette promo video shows Hannah’s ready to get down to business
We know Hannah B. best for being totally herself on Colton’s season. She was crowned Miss Alabama in the recent past, and at just 24 years old, she stands as the youngest Bachelorette contestant to date. As endearing and awkward as she may be, she’s proving she wants others to take her seriously with her most recent promotional video, however.
As Vulture recounts, the video shows Hannah shedding her beauty queen layers — like her crown, sash, and dress — as she leaves rose petals in her wake. The final message in the promo says everything we need to know about Hannah, too. “Think you know her? Think again,” it reads. While Hannah shared her Alabama roots and beauty queen past with viewers on The Bachelor, it looks like we’ll be seeing an entirely different side of her during her season as the star — and we can’t wait.
Former Bachelor Ben Higgins doesn’t think Hannah’s ‘prepped’ for the show
Even at such a young age, it seems Hannah knows what she wants and is ready for marriage — but she certainly has a few skeptics, too. Former Bachelorette contestant and Bachelor Ben Higgins has openly expressed how he feels about Hannah being the next lead for the show. At first, Us Weekly reports Ben wasn’t a huge fan of Hannah as the star — but he’s since gotten used to the idea. Even so, he doesn’t necessarily think she’s prepared for everything the experience will bring to the table.
As he told Us Weekly, “This is a little intimidating for her. It’s a little scary, it’s a little wild and she isn’t prepped for it. Like, I don’t think she expected to be the Bachelorette, nor did she desire to be the Bachelorette after her season.” Ben also added that as long as Hannah is “unapologetically herself,” she’ll find the right man for her. “[I hope] she doesn’t try to become too much of the model of a Bachelorette and just stays true to herself,” he added.
Hannah knows she’s ready for love, though
Despite Ben Higgins having some reservations regarding Hannah stepping up to the plate as The Bachelorette, Hannah knows she’s prepared to find lasting love — and she’s already made it clear what kind of man she’s looking for. People reports while Hannah was visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she explained, “I think the reason I am here is because I am real, I showed every part of myself.” Hannah also mentioned that on her upcoming season, she’s going to show all aspects of herself to the men — the good and the bad — as she wants a relationship that’s totally authentic.
As for the type of man she wants, Hannah admits she’ll be attracted to someone good-looking and good-hearted, but beyond that, she’s totally open. Most importantly, she’s ready for engagement, too. “I know I’m young but I would not have gone on this show if I hadn’t really thought about what is at the end of this,” she said on Ellen.
