Andy Cohen Reveals How You Actually Say Khloé Kardashian’s Name
Khloé Kardashian‘s name is known around the world. She shot to fame with her family’s reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians and went on to become a successful businesswoman with the cult-favorite denim brand Good American. She has over 100 million followers on Instagram tuned into her every move, but that doesn’t mean they know everything about her.
One new revelation came during the week of March 22 via Andy Cohen, which is that we’ve apparently been saying her name wrong this entire time.
Khloé Kardashian’s name is not pronounced the way you think it is, says Andy Cohen
This tidbit came up when Cohen stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. While discussing Cohen’s new series For Real: The Story of Reality TV, he mentioned interviewing the Kardashian family for it.
Fallon chimed in saying, “This other thing you talk about or I wanna talk about tonight is, I was talking to you backstage, I said, ‘You talked to Khloe Kardashian,’ and you said, ‘I’m pronouncing her, we’ve all been, pronouncing her name wrong this whole time.'”
“Yes, it’s Khloé,” Cohen replied, putting emphasis on the accent. “Khloé’s the name.”
Cohen said he learned the truth when he went to interview the Kardashians for the upcoming show, which airs on Thursday, March 25 at 9 p.m. ET on E!. “I walked in, I go ‘Khloé’ and the other women go, ‘Excuse me?’ And Kris [Jenner] said, ‘Yeah, that’s actually really how it’s pronounced,'” he explained. “There’s a little thing on top of the name, why am I the only one that got that? I got the memo.”
Like us, Fallon was in total disbelief over the revelation, but Cohen insisted it’s true. “Yes! Ask her!” he said, to which Fallon said he would.
Cohen continued on to share more of his experiences with the family
Going on, Cohen discussed all the coronavirus (COVID-19)-related measures he had to take before meeting up with the Kardashians.
“It was a trip going to the Kardashians’ house,” he continued. “You’ve gotta go through all these gates. I had to get a COVID test before I went there. I said, ‘Oh you want to give me the results of the COVID test?’ They said, ‘Go to Khloé’s and if the second gate opens, you’re negative.’ And the gate opened and I was like, ‘Alright, I don’t have COVID.'”
It’s no surprise they’re being so strict, especially considering Kardashian’s past battle with coronavirus. She tested positive in March of 2020, forcing her to isolate herself for more than two weeks.
“I quarantined in my room for 16 days,” she said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “The hardest part – I don’t care how beautiful a place you have – being taken away from your child for that long, because I couldn’t be around my daughter, was the most heart-wrenching thing,” she continued, referencing her 2-year-old daughter True Thompson.
Her experience was documented on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which began airing its 20th and final season on March 18. Watch Khloé and her family on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on E!
