Andy Cohen Shares His ‘Must Have’ New Dad List
Bravo producer Andy Cohen celebrates his first Father’s Day as a new dad and revealed what items he really loves (and needs) during these early days of parenthood.
He worked with Amazon to create his “must have” list that includes both baby and daddy gear. Amazon generously shared Cohen’s list that includes more than 40 handpicked items.
From bathtime to bedtime, Cohen breaks down what items have worked for him. Plus he includes a few dad essentials that help him through his day. So what does Cohen have on his list? Plus, who has provided him with some pretty solid parenting advice?
Love those Housewives
Cohen was in good company for parenthood preparations. As the producer of the Real Housewives franchise, he has endless resources. He said the ladies have been a great source of inspiration and advice.
“As a first-time dad, I asked everyone for advice, and the Housewives, in particular, helped me prepare for this big life change,” he shared. Before he welcomed his son Benjamin in February, the Housewives showered him in a star-studded baby shower in Los Angeles too.
“I’m about to celebrate my first Father’s Day and while I’m still learning every day, my confidence is growing,” he continued. “I’m so excited to partner with Amazon and share all the products that have helped me transition into life as a Dad – and the best part is they arrive in two-days or less right to my doorstep!”
Baby has gotta have it
Cohen recently shared a picture and comments on Instagram about his love of Amazon. “Can’t believe I’m about to celebrate my FIRST #FathersDay! I’m still learning on the job, but there are certain essentials that Ben and I could.not.live.without – and they’re #AllOnAmazon. Pro tip for those of you about to become first-time dadas, @Amazon is literally a lifesaver. Check out the New Dad Essentials list I put together with all my must-haves.”
Friend and musician John Mayer had an amazing observation of the picture. “You and the Amazon logo have the same half-smile.” Also, a number of Housewives sent their love.
So what did Cohen chose for Benjamin? While the full list is available on Amazon, he said having diapers on hand 24/7 is vital to your survival as a new parent. “There’s nothing worse than a late-night diaper run in NYC,” he said. “Subscribe & Save is a lifesaver and ensures I never run out of the basics.” He adds bathtime is fun once you get past the panic of bathing your baby for the first time.
Don’t forget about dad
Cohen knows a happy dad means a happy baby. So he playfully said, “Who says a baby registry has to be all about baby? Sometimes, Dad needs a little love too.”
What’s on Cohen’s dad list? While he includes some sweet Ray-Ban sunglasses and awesome headphones, he also has some baby items that make his job easier. He likes this sharp diaper bag with shoulder straps. Perfect for an on-the-go life!
