Tana Mongeau‘s engagement wasn’t just a huge shock to fans.
The YouTuber recently announced that she had gotten engaged to fellow content creator, Jake Paul.
Though many are questioning their engagement, Mongeau’s ex, Bella Thorne, can’t seem to contain her emotions.
While this recent news was tough for Bella Thorne to come to terms with, the actress still has and always will have deep love and respect for her ex.
Bella Thorne had a heartbreaking reaction to Mongeau’s engagement
The YouTube community is still in shock over their very own, Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau, getting engaged.
The couple has only been “dating” for a few short months and though some people are claiming their engagement is just a prank, Mongeau’s ex, Bella Thorne is having a hard time coming to terms with the news.
Paul and Mongeau got engaged on June 24, inside of a nightclub while they celebrated her 21st birthday.
The YouTuber shared the news on social media with the caption, “ITS MY 21ST BDAY AND IM ENGAGED HOLY S***,” she tweeted.
Mongeau also gave fans an up-close look (in a now-deleted video) at the Ring Pop Paul proposed with and the diamond engagement ring he gave her just a few moments later.
Hours after the internet couple shared their exciting news, Bella Thorne took to her Finsta account—another Instagram page where she posts “more honest” content—and shared a series of tearful selfies in response to Mongeau’s engagement.
The actress captioned the photos, “When ur ex gets engaged,” followed by crying emojis.
Bella Thorne and Tana Mongeau were in an open relationship for more than a year and ultimately decided to go their separate ways just four months ago.
Though they split was unexpected, the former couple made it clear that breaking up was a mutual decision and that they will always love each other, no matter what.
Thorne and Mongeau continue to have a special bond
After sharing her emotional Instagram post, Bella Thorne then directed fans to her main Instagram page to share a heartfelt birthday message to Mongeau.
Thorne shared a photo of her and Mongeau with the caption, “Through thick and thin,” she wrote. “I love you tana happy bday you beautiful beautiful special girl.”
The photo eventually caught the attention of Tana, who responded in the comments with, “i love u forever and ever.”
To further show her support for her ex-girlfriend, Thorne then took to Twitter to respond to a journalist from Forbes who questioned whether Jake Paul would require Tana to sign a prenup.
Along with a number of angry face emojis, the actress wrote, “Jake needs to sign a prenup.”
Mongeau then shared Bella’s response by tweeting, “I’m living in a simulation.”
Even though they are no longer together, Bella Thorne and Tana Mongeau continue to have a close friendship that many people aren’t able to have with their exes.
While it was heartbreaking for Bella Thorne to learn of Mongeau’s engagement, the actress is remaining supportive of her ex’s decisions and only wants the best for her.
