Cote De Pablo and Michael Weatherly are the actors behind one of TV fandom’s most obsessed about couples. As fans of the CBS crime drama, NCIS, can tell you, theirs is a romance we’ve been rooting for since the characters were first introduced. On screen, the two ended up together after a long will-they-won’t-they story arch.
Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly’s ‘NCIS’ beginnings
The third season of NCIS brought us the winning combination, which was Tony DiNozzo, played by Weatherly, and Ziva David, played by the talented de Pablo. The characters’ on-screen chemistry, paired with a storyline rich with flirtation and fun, brought viewers together as everyone rooted for a “Tiva” relationship.
Unfortunately, we never get to see that relationship come full circle when Ziva’s character is seemingly killed by a mortar attack in season 13, and DiNozzo leaves the show to seek answers about her death and her child.
Weatherly and De Pablo were not only friends on screen but, had a supportive friendship off camera too. We were thrilled when Weatherly reported on his recently deleted Twitter account that de Pablo was with him to watch his last NCIS episode. He tweeted in May of 2016: “Thank you and I love you all- Cote is here with me now!”

While Weatherly is married, it is not to co-star and friend Cote De Pablo. Although Weatherly and de Pablo remain close friends, Weatherly is happily married to a doctor Bojana Janković.
Michael Weatherly’s family life
Weatherly has had a rocky road on the way to love. His first marriage ended in divorce from his soap opera co-star Amelia Heinle. They had one son together, but the stars found it difficult to keep a relationship alive after their soap opera was canceled and they struggled financially.
After an unsuccessful two-year engagement to Jessica Alba — she was just 20 when Weatherly proposed to her — it seemed like love was hard to come by for Michael.
Now, Weatherly tells People that he is happily married to Janković. The couple has two children — Liam and Olivia — and have been married for 10 years. Despite recent media coverage of Weatherly’s alleged sexually inappropriate comments to coworkers, his wife, family, and fans stand firmly behind the actor. “I’m lucky. I have a wonderful wife and am well on my way to a very happy retirement,” he says.

After her surprising and long-awaited return to NCIS at the end of season 16, de Pablo has been popping up in new stories quite a bit lately. Her fans have been overjoyed, and very positive about her return to the show. However, with DiNozzo long gone from NCIS, viewers will wonder how she fits back into the storyline.
Which, leads us to speculate about her own romantic relationships. Since her 2015 break up with her longtime boyfriend, Diego Serrano, she’s been keeping her love life to herself. Although rumors have always circled about a romance between de Pablo and Weatherly, there has never been any evidence to back up affair claims. In fact, she’s been so secretive about her love life, we have to assume she’s currently single.

Finally, Michael Weatherly and Cote De Pablo are reuniting for a new show together. Fans might be disappointed in the pairing, however, as the two will remain behind the camera this time. The duo isgoing to be producing a new detective show called MIA which will follow the story of an undercover agent who becomes a homicide detective in Miami. Although we were all hoping for another Tony/Ziva match up, perhaps MIA is just what has been MIA from television since the two left NCIS.
