When is Baby Sussex due?

While there’s plenty of speculation over Markle’s due date, no specific timeline has been revealed. Rather, there has just been the piecing together of clues to figure out when we can expect Baby Sussex’s arrival.

When Kensington Palace made the official announcement that Prince Harry and Markle were expecting, the very vague “spring” due date was given, which, of course, spans a few months.

Those who have been keeping track think they may have figured out when Prince Harry and Markle will welcome Baby Sussex, with some estimations being on the early side and others far later.

Did Markle drop a clue about her due date?

It seems like the Duchess of Sussex might have dropped a big clue about her due date recently. When asked about her pregnancy during a special Buckingham Palace event honoring her father-in-law, Prince Charles, Markle seemed to give a hint.

Welsh Secretary of State Alun Cairns, asked her, “All in good order? I’m sure everyone is asking.” Markle answered, “No, it’s actually very sweet. It’s a very nurturing sweet thing to ask. We’re nearly there!”

Nearly. There. That certainly sounds like she’ s in the final stretch of pregnancy but then again, Markle said the same thing on Christmas Day after the couple attended church services. A month after that, however, when the couple visited Birkenhead, Markle was asked about her due date and answered that they expected the baby “end of April, early May.”

Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hire a nanny?

In terms of parenting, it’s been well speculated that the couple will hire a nanny after the birth of their first child. The timing, however, for them to hire help might be later than you’d expect.

The Mail on Sunday recently reported that Prince Harry and Markle won’t bring a nanny on until later this year, ahead of their rumored royal tour.

They may be following the same timing that Prince William and Kate Middleton did, as they hired Maria Borrall, a graduate of Norland College, when their son George was a few months old. Norland College was asked if the couple had approached them but declined to comment.

Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle be ‘liberal’ parents?

A source who has known Markle for many years shared: “Meghan has been talking to some of her friends about the birth and how she and Harry plan to raise their baby. She said they plan to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender and they won’t be imposing any stereotypes.”

Other sources close to the Duke and Duchess explained that the couple can be expected to be “open-minded and liberal” with their parenting style.

Of course, Kensington Palace recently shot down this rumor. A spokesman for Kensington Palace noted: “this story is totally false,” adding “the Duke and Duchess are extremely excited to welcome their first child in the spring.”
