Are Tensions Rising as Both Migos and Cardi B Get Ready to Perform at Rolling Loud?
The lineup for the Rolling Loud festival’s fifth-anniversary celebration has just been released.
Among the list of headliners are Cardi B, Travis Scott, and Migos. Other big names include Kid Cudi, Gucci Mane, and Lil Wayne.
While fans are gushing over the list of performers, there is one thing about the lineup that really sticks out to us.
Both Cardi B and Migos will be performing on Friday night. Which means that Cardi B and her estranged husband Offset will be in the same venue at the same time. Will there be drama?
The History of Cardi B and Offset
Cardi B and Offset first met when they worked together on her song Lick, from her album Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 2. Rumors quickly started circulating that the two might be more than just artists who occasionally worked together.
In May of 2017, Cardi B and Offset went public with their relationship, showing up to the Met Gala together. In September of that same year, the couple secretly got married in a ceremony in her bedroom.
A month later, Offset formally proposed to Cardi B while she performed at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert.
In July of 2018, the two welcomed their daughter Kulture to the world.
For a while, things seemed like they were going great for the couple and their little family. But the happy picture didn’t last long before the cheating rumors began.
The allegations led to Cardi B eventually calling it quits.
On December 5th of 2018, the rapper took to Instagram to announce that she was leaving Offset.
“It’s [nobody’s] fault, I guess we just grew out of love, but we are not together anymore,” she said in a video on the social media site.
The day after Cardi B announced that she was done with Offset, music video model Summer Bunni released a video seemingly apologizing for interfering in Cardi’s relationship.
“I have not messed with Offset since he’s had his baby,” she said. “I didn’t know how serious this marriage was.”
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time that Offset was accused of cheating.
On Christmas Eve of 2017, video evidence of Offset cheating on Cardi B surfaced. The video was apparently stolen from Offset’s iCloud, along with nude photos of Cardi B.
Since the Split
Since Cardi’s split from Offset, she seems to be doing okay.
Reports from TMZ claim that the rapper has been “partying and doing fine.”
Offset doesn’t appear to be taking the news as well as Cardi.
Directly following the split, he tweeted about how much he missed his wife.
On December 15th, 2018, he even showed up during her set at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles to apologize to her onstage. Some fans criticized him for interrupting such a monumental performance for her, as she was the first woman ever to headline the show.
Responding to the fans who were upset, Offset tweeted “All of my wrongs have been made public, I figure It’s only right that my apologies are made public too.”
We’ll have to stay tuned to see if Offset makes any more big gestures at Rolling Loud. The festival will take place in Miami Gardens, Florida from May 10-12.
