Are Wendy Williams and Her Husband Still Together?
To say Wendy Williams has been having a hard time lately would be a serious understatement. The talk show host recently revealed that she is seeking treatment for addiction, and now it looks like her husband may have a child with another woman.
For many, these issues would be enough for one or the other to walk away. But was it enough to break up Williams and her husband or are they trying to make it work?
The talk show host and her husband have been married for over 20 years
Williams met her husband, Kevin Hunter, in the early ’90s. Initially, Hunter was Williams’ manager, but the two developed a romantic relationship. The couple married in 1997 and welcomed a child, Kevin Hunter, Jr., three years later.
Williams’ marriage to Hunter is her second marriage. In 1994, Williams married a man she referred to in her memoir as Robert Morris III. Not much is known about Williams’ first husband besides the fact that he is a 6-foot-3-inch salesman. The marriage didn’t last long. The couple was married in 1994 and divorced just four months later.
Hunter has been unfaithful for the past decade
The fact that Williams didn’t immediately leave her husband amid the current rumors may come as a shock to some, but this isn’t the first time Hunter has been accused of cheating. Williams revealed in her 2001 memoir that she found out her husband had been unfaithful shortly after their son was born.
Williams chose to forgive her husband and has said that she does not regret it. But she does say it changed their relationship, saying: “… it’s made our marriage stronger. No, I’m not back to the girl I was before him, because when you get stung like that, you never go back to who you were. Only a fool does.”
The recent allegations against Hunter go much deeper than the ones revealed in Williams’ memoir. According to reports, Hunter has been carrying on an affair with massage therapist Sharina Hudson for over a decade. Rumors started to circulate about the affair in 2017. At that time, Williams told her audience, “You can believe what you want, but I stand by my man.”
As more details are revealed, the story only gets worse. Hunter allegedly purchased a $765,000 home for his mistress just miles from the home he shares with Williams. To top things off, Hudson recently had a child who is believed to be fathered by Hunter.

After the recent round of rumors, Williams appeared to be standing by her man. The talk show host told her audience: “Marriages have ebbs and flows. Marriage isn’t easy. And don’t ask me about mine until you see this gone (referring to her ring) and it ain’t going anywhere, not in this lifetime.”
But things took a dark turn after Hudson gave birth. Williams allegedly disappeared from the set of her talk show and drowned her sorrows in alcohol. She was later found so intoxicated that she had to be taken to the hospital.
Now it looks like the former radio host may have had a change of heart from her original position. Page Six reports that Williams and Hunter are considering separation. A source told the magazine, “There is a discussion about what happens now — everyone is asking, ‘How can they possibly stay together?’ Wendy still loves Kevin, but her health is at stake.”
But the source notes that there are many factors that can make a separation extra messy, stating, “They are so tangled up together in business, so they are carefully looking at what a separation could entail. It will be difficult.”
Neither Williams nor Hunter have confirmed the rumors of their impending separation.
