If there’s one couple that fans all adore from Little People, Big World, it’s Zach and Tori Roloff. The two wed in 2015 after meeting on Roloff Farms, and we’ve been keeping up with them ever since. While Tori didn’t enter the show at first, we’ve been following Zach since the show first started over a decade ago — and it’s been remarkable watching him come into his own, find the love of his life, and begin his own family while allowing camera crews to capture it all.
Zach and Tori already have one son, Jackson
There’s no doubt Tori and Zach love being parents, and they have an adorable son, Jackson, who’s just 1 year old. Heavy notes that Jackson was born with achondroplasia, which is the same type of dwarfism that Zach has. The child had a 50/50 chance of inheriting the gene since Tori is of average height.
While Tori did note that she had some concerns regarding Jackson’s condition, they were immediately quelled by the sheer excitement of being a mom. She did note, however, that knowing her child would be different was “scary,” though she was more than willing to take on the challenge and raise him to the best of her abilities. As Zach said, “We’re super excited for it. We’ll hope to just give him a healthy, happy life and support him in every way. … He may have to take two steps for everyone else’s one step, but hopefully we’ll be able to raise him in a way where that won’t stop him.”
Tori revealed on Instagram that she hopes to have 3 or 4 kids
Despite the idea of having children with dwarfism being a concern for Tori at first, she still wishes to expand her family. In Touch Weekly notes in the summer of 2018, Tori took to her Instagram story to answer a few of her fans’ most pressing questions. One of her followers asked, “How many kids do you want?” and her answer shocked and delighted us all. To this, she wrote, “3 or 4.” Tori has also mentioned in the past how she has a ton of respect for her body and what it’s capable of, so it seems she’s not too worried about bouncing back postpartum when it comes to having three or four kids, either.
This also isn’t the only time Tori has mentioned wanting more little ones. In Touch Weekly reported in April 2018 that she shared a photo of her friend’s baby on her Instagram story and wrote, “I could totally have a second kid.”
She urges her fans to stop asking if she’s pregnant, however
Even if Zach and Tori might be planning on having a big family, that doesn’t mean she wants her followers to keep asking when they can expect to hear of another pregnancy. In October 2018, she posted a photo to Instagram of her, Zach, and Jackson with a very telling caption. “No I’m not pregnant. Yes I love baggy clothes and food. What if I was a women who couldn’t get pregnant? What if I was a women who had body image issues? Asking a woman if she’s pregnant can be extremely damaging.” Tori also added that while she knows fans are just excited for her family to keep growing, it’s inappropriate to ask any women when they’re next expecting to have a child. “I say this because time and time again I’ve watched my own friends and family struggle with having a baby and I know how much it hurts every time this question is asked,” she wrote.
It looks like fans will just have to wait and see when Tori and Zach are preparing for another baby. Given Tori’s track record of being totally candid on Instagram, we’re sure she won’t hide the news from her fans for too long.
