Ariana Grande Gets Emotional Singing About Mac Miller, Cries on Stage
Last night, things got emotional for Ariana Grande, as she cried on stage while singing about Mac Miller on the anniversary of their first song collaboration together. She later took to Instagram to apologize for crying during the performance and thanked fans for their continued support.

Grande posted a simple enough tribute to Miller on the anniversary of their song “The Way,” writing: “six years” with a small heart. They also collaborated on his song “My Favorite Part” off his 2016 album, The Divine Feminine.
On January 19, Miller’s birthday, she tweeted “miss you” and has also posted photos with Miller’s dog Myron. One selfie with the rapper’s dog read: “Real protective wit my soullll where YOUUUUUU been.”
Grande couldn’t hold back the tears during her concert
Grande and Miller dated for nearly two years before they called things off in May 2018. She went on to date SNL star Pete Davidson a month later and the pair were engaged in June. Miller died in September of an accidental overdose. Davidson and Grande called off their engagement not long after Miller’s passing.

Last night, during her performance of “thank u, next,” video shows Grande struggling to get through the song when she mentions Miller. One fan posted footage, writing: “ariana cried during ‘thank u, next’ and i’ve never wanted to hug her as much as i did in that moment.”
Her dancers were seen comforting her and providing support. The show must go on and Grande, ever the professional, carried on, with a little help from the audience to sing along when she couldn’t.

When a fan asked Grande on an Instagram Q&A, “how are you doing? Like actually. Ps I love you cutie,” she shared: “grateful. Even when things come up. Even when we’re sleep n run down. I am just grateful to be here. With many people I love… I have a beautiful support system, I love my job and I really am just grateful to be her tbh. Ps. I love you too!”
