Ariana Grande is currently touring for her Sweetener World Tour. The tour began in March 2019 and ends in December 2019. After Grande posted a video from the tour, an Instagram user commented that they doubted Grande’s live vocals. Grande was quick to respond and shut down the fan.

The fan commented on one of Ariana Grande’s Instagram posts

In a now deleted Instagram post, Grande posted a video clip of herself singing “breathin.”

An Instagram user commented, “It sounds like autotune and probably not live. I mean you are a great singer and I love your voice and your songs but this doesn’t sound live.”

Grande replied, “naw, with all due respect i could do this in your living room for you, fam. with no sound mixing or help at all. i could do it on broadway (and did). i can do it in the shower. it’s my gift / it’s why i’m here. i sing 30+ songs a night. every word. it’s my thing. let me shine like damn.”

Grande’s take down shows that she is confident in her singing abilities. She recently won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album and won Artist of the Year at the 2019 MTV VMAs.

Ariana Grande is vocal about her struggle with depression and anxiety

The Sweetener World Tour has taken up almost the entirety of Grande’s 2019. Throughout it all, Grande has been vocal about her mental health struggles. When a fan tweeted that they assumed the tour was helping Grande cope with her mental health, Grande corrected them.

“Making it is healing. Performing it is like reliving it all over again and it is hell,” she tweeted.

Grande deleted the tweet, but it was up long enough for other fans to notice. Some fans told Grande they would understand if she needed to cancel the rest of the tour, but Grande said she would not do that. Another fan asked if touring was good for Grande.

“I don’t think it is. It’s been v hard. I have sm on my mind and it’s so heavy and no energy to process or work thru any of it, but I’m trying hard. And I have the twins. And seeing you all is so nice. But it’s hard emotionally. I wish it were a year ago. I’d give anything,” Grande wrote back.

She recently canceled a part of her show because of her mental health

Recently, Grande canceled a part of her show for one of her European tour dates. The singer originally had a meet and greet scheduled before the show, but canceled it due to her depression and anxiety. According to the Daily Mail, Grande sent a personal email message to the fans who paid for the event.

“hi my loves time for some honesty my anxiety and depression have been at an all time high lately. i have been giving you all i’ve got and trying to push through as hard as i can and mask it. today has been an extra rough one. after a handful of panic attacks, i feel like the wisest decision would be to not do soundcheck party or m&g today and preserve my energy for the show,” she wrote.

She continued, “i don’t want to rush through our time together or seem shaky. i like spending actual time with you and i won’t be able to be present or give you the best of me today. anybody that had m&g or soundcheck today will of course be fully reimbursed for this decision. i love you. i’m so sorry. i promise i will absolutely give you the best show i can.”

Grande seems determined to finish the tour despite some fans wishing she would take a break. There are still several months left for Grande’s Sweetener World Tour. Hopefully, she continues to put her mental health first and her fans remain understanding.
