‘Real Housewives of Potomac:’ Ashley and Michael Darby Question Their Friendships With the Ladies
The last episode of Real Housewives of Potomac left off with Candiace Dillard and Ashley Darby in the middle of a huge fight, resulting in Dillard throwing a knife at Darby. Monique Samuels and Dillard also got into an argument after Samuels confronted Dillard about her comments to Gizelle Bryant regarding Katie Rost.
This week, Dillard kicked Darby out of her house after their verbal altercation, and she went to counseling with her mother. Why does Ashley and Michael Darby question their friendship with the other RHOP ladies? Keep reading to find out.
Candiace Dillard kicked Ashley Darby out after an argument
When Chris Bassett grabbed Dillard into the hallway, Karen Huger came over to comfort her. While she gathered herself, Bryant brought up the conversation they were having about Darby’s husband, Michael. Then, she passed the microphone to Robyn Dixon, who allegedly heard Michael’s comments about wanting to perform oral sex on of the Real Housewives of Potomac husbands. Dillard came back into the living room before Darby had a proper chance to respond to the allegations, and kicked her out.
She came back inside and, of course, the conversation had not switched topics. Even Bassett, Dillard’s husband, jumped in to co-sign the alleged comments. Darby picked up where she left off and denied ever hearing her husband saying anything of that nature. However, Dillard accused Darby of playing dumb on purpose. She kicked her out again and then cried to the other ladies about her frustration with Darby disrespecting her in her house. Samuels explained to Dillard that she felt so angered by Darby’s words because her mother hurt her.
Candiace Dillard and her mother go to counseling
Dillard decided to make the difficult phone call to her mother, Dorothy, and ask her to come to counseling with her. She chose to see Bryant’s therapist, and he set clear rules that one person talks at a time. However, Dorothy, a therapist herself, consistently interrupted everything Dillard said about her feelings with a repetitive “that’s not true.”
Dorothy also didn’t want to talk about the main thing bothering Dillard; a situation when Dorothy became upset with Dillard and hit her in the face with her purse in public. Instead, she laughed when Dillard cried, rolled her eyes, and kept bringing up the fact that she “pays all her bills,” even though Dorothy only helps with a portion of the mortgage. The therapist explained to Dorothy that the way they communicate is not healthy, and she seemed to acknowledge that.
The ladies’ rumors upset Ashley and Michael Darby
Bryant stopped by Darby’s rehearsal for her Virginia Pride performance to talk about the situation that happened at Dillard’s dinner party. She told Darby everything that Dillard said about her after she left, including Huger saying Darby was in denial. However, Dixon especially hurt Darby because she thought they were friends, and instead she spread alleged rumors to Dillard about her husband.
Huger’s comments also upset Darby because they recently started bonding and getting closer to each other. Even though Bryant told Darby what everyone else said, she also believes Darby is in denial because she’s blaming the situation on Dixon, not on her husband for making the comments.
A few weeks prior, Darby invited Dixon and Bryant to join her for her Virginia Pride performance. They both followed through on their word and decided to attend. However, Darby wasn’t particularly happy to see Dixon after her allegations. But, Darby thanked the two for supporting her and agreed to talk with Dixon. Darby felt like Dixon was spreading rumors about her to the main person who doesn’t like her. However, Dixon doubled down on her comments and claimed she knows what she heard.
However, Darby still feels like Dixon told everyone for them to ambush her. When she told her husband about the situation, he denied making the comments and questioned their friendships with the women. Darby seemed to agree with Michael as she feels everyone in the group is chatting about him being gay. However, Darby says this is far from the truth.
