Ashley Jacobs Returns to ‘Southern Charm’ Amid Feud With Patricia Altschul
Southern Charm Season 6 continues to deliver drama. In the preview for this week’s episode, we’ve seen that Ashley Jacobs is officially coming back — and things are already looking pretty hairy. Southern Charm fans have been waiting for Jacobs’ return, especially after her infamous “egg donor” comment, and her ongoing feud with Patricia Altschul. And so far, it seems like she’s back for more of the same.
But as any Southern Charm fan knows, Patricia Altschul isn’t the type to back down or sugar coat anything.
‘Southern Charm’ cast members are shocked she’s back
Ashley Jacobs and Thomas Ravenel certainly didn’t make many friends during the last season of Southern Charm. Given that Ravenel is still battling Dennis in court, and that Jacobs hasn’t really mended any of her gaffes, some cast members have expressed surprise that Jacobs is even back for the show at all.
Cameran Eubanks told Entertainment Tonight, “I was shocked when I saw Ashley. But then, I wasn’t. I was hoping that if she had any sense, she would go back to California, which is her home, which is where she’s from, where all her family and friends are. I cannot believe she stuck around.”
Eubanks also said that she believes Jacobs could be trying to seek out redemption of some sort. “I think Ashley got a lot of negative feedback after she was so awful, especially on social media. I think Ashley wanted to come back this year and try to make amends because she felt bad,” explained Eubanks. “But the question is, did she really feel bad? Was it genuine from the heart, or did she want to make herself look good?”
What does Patricia Altschul think of Ashley Jacobs?
Patricia Altschul is the grande dame of Southern Charm — one doesn’t simply go up against her head-to-head. Yet, that’s a mistake Ashley Jacobs has already made. It seems Jacobs harassed one of Altschul’s friends — some fans speculate it Luzanne Otte, who had a brief romance with Ravenel.
Altschul set the record straight on Twitter regarding her dislike for Jacobs and Ravenel. “Why people ask? Because of his and Ashley’s smear campaign, character assassination, lies and purposeful defamation.”
She followed up with another tweet. “And let’s add to that list an innocent friend of mine who was viciously cyberbullied by Ashley because of her obsessiveness and insecurity,” tweeted Altschul.
Altschul told Entertainment Tonight, “She did the opposite of everything that I told her to do. I would say it hasn’t worked for her… She’s kind of the example of what not to do. If you could write a list of what not to do, she would personify that.”
Jacobs is ready to fight
Now, Jacobs is coming back and based on the preview, it looks like she’s ready for a fight. In the preview, we see Ashley Jacobs approaching, while other cast members look on in surprise and what looks like mild terror. Then we see Whitney Sudler-Smith step up to the plate, ready to defend his mother.
“I know you talked some s— about my mother, which, unfairly so,” Sudler-Smith says to Jacobs of Altschul. Sudler-Smith tells the camera, “Ashley insists upon besmirching my mother, her reputation, with some conspiracy theories. None are true.”
Jacobs fires back with, “Same for her, she’s almost 80. You’d think she’d know better.” Bold move Jacobs. You’re in enemy territory now.
Soon, everyone is confronting Jacobs over her past behavior, and things look like they’re going to get wild. “She is crazy,” Naomie Olindo said of Jacobs in a confessional. “Just crazy. If you’re not scared of Ashley, you should be. You should be really scared.”
