‘Avengers 4’: 1 Actor Just Revealed the Most Obvious Spoiler Ever

Fans have been wowed by Avengers: Infinity War and can’t wait for more. Marvel still has two more movies coming out in the coming months, with Ant-Man and the Wasp to be followed by Captain Marvel. Then finally, Avengers 4 will arrive in theaters next Spring. But you can’t blame fans for wanting any details they can find on the movie.

Thanks to several actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we’ve received plenty of spoilers. Let’s take a look at what has been revealed so far about Avengers 4, including one actor that dropped one incredibly obvious spoiler (page 5).

Happy Hogan will be there

Jon Favreau has had a small but progressive arc with his Iron Man character, Happy Hogan. He was originally seen but spoke infrequently in the first movie, but his speaking parts and importance to the plot became more prominent as the trilogy went along. Happy also had a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming as Peter Parker’s contact within Stark Industries.

But according to Favreau, Hogan will be back on screen in Avengers 4. What his role may be is yet to be determined, but it’s kind of cool that Avengers 4 is going back to its roots. Not only was Favreau a character in Iron Man, he also directed the movie that kicked the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe into motion.

Next: A surprising character may return

Gamora isn’t really dead?

One of the biggest and most surprising moments of Infinity War is that Thanos chooses to murder his daughter, Gamora, so that he can obtain the Soul Stone. That leaves him just one Stone short of possessing all six, which would allow him to complete his mission. It was an emotional point in the movie, and part of what made it so great. But according to actress Zoe Saldana, Gamora will be returning in Avengers 4.

“At least for me, it felt like a TBC, because I knew that we will have to all come back, at some point this fall, and finish up the second – the fourth installment of Avengers. So, it felt like ‘See you later,’ not like a formal goodbye.”

We saw Gamora as a young girl inside the Soul Stone at the very end of Infinity War, so anything is possible. But if they do a full reverse on her death, it’ll kind of cheapen the emotion of that moment, won’t it?

Next: A new Stark?

Pepper is pregnant

There is only one scene featuring both Tony Stark and Pepper Potts in Infinity War. They’re going for a walk in the park in New York City, and Tony is detailing a weird, vivid dream he had in which Pepper was pregnant. She assures him that she is not, but Stark feels like it was extremely real. According to actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Pepper is pregnant in Avengers 4.

“Pepper and Tony have had a really long journey together. She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they’re married, and they have a child. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve.”

The pair weren’t married yet at the end of Infinity War, so for Pepper and Tony to be married and expecting a child will mean that we can expect some sort of time jump.

Next: No more Captain America

This is it for Captain America

For Chris Evans, it may be the end of Captain America with Avengers 4. Although many of the original characters have no contract following the movie, including Evans, he’s the only one to have publicly acknowledged that he won’t be back. Here is a key excerpt from an article about the actor in the New York Times.

For now, he has no plans to return to the franchise (‘You want to get off the train before they push you off,’ he said), and expects that planned reshoots in the fall will mark the end of his tenure in the familiar red, white and blue super suit.

This will be the seventh movie in which Captain America is featured as a major character, and the 10th in which Evans has made at least an appearance — including cameos and post-credit scenes. Will they kill him off?

Next: That obvious spoiler

Dave Bautista reveals a spoiler

When Drax (Dave Bautista) disappears into a cloud of dust at the end of Infinity War, it’s hard to know what to think in the moment. But the more you run through scenarios in your mind, you know that all these characters can’t be dead. They’re not killing off Black Panther, Spider-Man, and nearly all the Guardians. Bautista has admitted that, yes, his character is coming back.

“I got a lot of texts saying, ‘I can’t believe you’re dead, your character is dead,'” he says. “They were really like heartbroken and I was like ‘I’m gonna be in [Avengers 4]. I’m gonna be in Guardians 3.’ I don’t know how they’re bringing me back, yeah but somehow I’m going to make it because, as far as I know, I am going to be in Guardians 3, so I have to be back.”

That’s good. Because Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 wouldn’t be quite as fun with just Rocket and Nebula.

Next: One massive scene

Everyone all together

Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War | Marvel Studios

A lot of fans went into Infinity War expecting a massive battle scene featuring all the known heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That didn’t happen, instead creating story elements that left everyone separated. But according to Bucky Barnes actor Sebastian Stan, we’ll get that scene in Avengers 4.

There was one scene, I think, we had where everybody was there. I can’t really talk about that scene, but I knew it took them three months in planning this scene to have everyone there. You look around and you just saw everyone from Samuel L. Jackson to Michael Douglas to Michelle Pfeiffer. Everybody was there.

It’s impossible to imagine how they could coordinate a scene with dozens of heroes, but never doubt Marvel.

Next: Will Tony make it out alive?

Will Tony Stark die?

This potential spoiler doesn’t come from an actor, but is just something we have learned through a potential script leak for Spider-Man 2. According to Redditor AHarbingerOfStuff, who created a new Reddit account specifically to leak plot details of the movie, Stark won’t make it out of Avengers 4 alive.

Set after AVENGERS 4. Peter is revived, and it appears Tony Stark will indeed die and Peter will be mourning his death. The plot revolved around something groundbreaking that Stark has created, and which is stolen and Spider-Man must retrieve.

Take this with a grain of salt, of course. With no history of revealing correct plot points on Marvel movies, there is no reason to trust that this anonymous stranger has any real intel. That said, it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see Marvel kill off Stark in a blaze of glory.
