‘Avengers: Endgame’ Tickets: How Badly Are Fans Freaking Out?

Avengers: Endgame is the movie to watch this year. The buzz for the movie has been nonstop since Infinity War was released last year and Thanos had his way with everybody’s favorite superheroes. The hype for the movie has only been increasing as the release date gets closer.

Tickets just went on sale and to say that people are going crazy would be a serious, serious understatement. Websites are crashing, apps are shutting down, and the internet, well they have some of the best reactions to all the chaos.

The countdown is on

We are officially less than a month from the premiere of Avengers: Endgame. The movie, which takes place after the devastating events of Infinity War comes to theatres on April 26. But if you think there’s still plenty of time to grab tickets to opening night, think again. People are going bonkers trying to get their hands on these high-demand tickets. While some people are taking deep breaths hoping they can get their hands on tickets, others were just inches away from a breakdown …

For those who were lucky enough to grab a pair, all that is left to do now is countdown the days until April 26 …

Box offices are struggling to keep up with the demand

Everyone knew that the response to the ticket sales would be huge, but obviously, the theaters themselves weren’t prepared for just how crazy the sales would be. Moviegoers logged onto sites like Fandango and AMC in hopes of getting tickets for the movie. When they got to the site they were greeted by virtual queues and told they had to wait in line to get their tickets. For some the wait was hours. For others, they experienced crashing websites and apps, kicking them completely out of line.

Twitter users got creative with their responses. One user posted a picture of the AMC logo disintegrating, just the way some of our favorite Marvel characters did in Infinity War.

AMC responded in kind, posting on Twitter, “We want everyone to be able to grab their Avengers: Endgame tickets, but it looks like we’ve gotten Thanos’ snap. We’re working on getting things back up and running, and in the meantime, please keep trying our website and our partner sites!”

The movie will be a final send off to some of our favorite characters

While we anxiously await to see the fate of the characters that disappeared into a pile of dust, we do know that Endgame will likely be the last we see of a few Marvel characters. Endgame marks the end of contracts for big-name stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. Both actors have suggested that Endgame may mark the end of their MCU journey.

Could ‘Endgame’ be the biggest movie ever?

Expectations are high for the final chapter of the Avengers story. Infinity War ended in a heartbreaking and dramatic fashion and fans are desperate to see how things turn out.

Marvel has invested millions into Endgame. The last movie brought in over $2 billion worldwide, making it the fourth highest grossing movie of all time. Does Endgame have what it takes to take down Avatar in the number one spot? Judging by sales, the movie is off to an impressive start. Only time will tell if Endgame has what it takes to reach the top, but we’d be surprised if it wasn’t close.

Meanwhile, for those who were not fortunate enough to get their hands on tickets, the response has been one of two scenarios.

For some, there is nothing left but complete and utter defeat…

And for others, there’s unabashed desperation….
