Avengers: Endgame is an emotional ride

There was never any doubt that Avengers: Endgame would deliver on the emotional front given the film wraps up a journey that’s spanned 10 years and 22 films in the MCU, but those tweeting about the film premiere confirmed you’re going to need to bring tissues for this one.

Brandon Davis of ComicBook.com posted a series of tweets to summarize his viewing experience, beginning with: “#AvengersEndgame is an astonishing, amazing film. I’ve never seen anything like it. This movie is everything I wanted to be and SO much more. Amazing.”

He continued, sharing the range of emotions that fans can expect to experience, noting: “While watching #AvengersEndgame, I laughed so loud, I clapped with so much force, and I cried so hard. The movie exceeds every expectation and is the perfect culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Davis also noted: “I just can’t remember a cinematic experience like the one I just had with #AvengersEndgame. Simply blown away. I feel like that movie was made for every Marvel fan, everywhere.”

Fans should avoid Endgame spoilers

For the maximum fan experience, it’s best to avoid spoilers, as the Russo Brothers shared after a leak of Avengers: Endgame footage landed online. Davis tweeted: “Avoid spoilers at all costs. Experience #AvengersEndgame as clean as you can. It’s so one of a kind, don’t ruin it for yourself or others.”

He also shared that there may be a post-credits scene, but those in attendance at the premiere didn’t see it: “For those asking, I don’t know if #AvengersEndgamehas a post-credits scene. They cut the credits for a cast speech, so there may be one for release. Stay seated.”

Avengers: Endgame is an epic ending

Erik Davis, the managing editor of Fandango, touched on how amazing the movie is, shedding some light on how Avengers: Endgame masterfully ends the story. He tweeted: “#AvengersEndgame is a masterful epic – a true culmination of 22 films that not only concludes the story, but expands upon it. You’ll learn more about the other movies while this one unfolds. If Infinity War is the brawn, Endgame is the brains. And wow, what an ending!”

Fans should expect to cry

Many who tweeted about the Avengers: Endgame premiere shared that they cried during the movie. New York Times’ Dave Itzoff noted: “I was not prepared for the range of emotions that #Endgame put me through, from utter despair to pure elation. I laughed, I cried, I wished Tony Stark was my dad.”

Variety’s Ramin Setoodeh tweeted: “There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the credits rolled for #AvengersEndgame.”
