Those Close to the Royals Say This Will Be Baby Archie’s First Word

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son might only be six months old, but he’s apparently a very intelligent little boy. The royal couple has been keeping Archie out of the spotlight the best they can, but he’s been forming strong relationships with the people around him. Now, Archie is reportedly making a lot of noise — a sign that he’s almost ready to say his first word. And one royal source is certain they know what it will be.

Meghan and Harry have vowed to give Archie a private life

When the duke and duchess first learned they were expecting, rumors instantly started that they wouldn’t give their baby a royal title. Growing up, Harry had started to resent the spotlight after losing his mother. He lashed out as a teen and young adult, and it was his brother who roped him back into reality and told him to get help. But after going through everything with his mother in the public eye, Harry decided he didn’t want his own kids to live the same life. Meghan seemed to agree, and the two did not give Archie a royal title when he was born. Since then, they’ve done their best to keep him out of the public eye.

He’s already been exposed to many different cultures

Though Archie doesn’t make many public appearances, he’s already accompanied his parents on a very important trip. He visited Southern Africa with his mother and father, where he was exposed to many different cultures at an incredibly young age. Though he won’t remember any part of his time in Africa when he’s older, it was still good for his development — and something he really enjoyed, according to his mother and father. Harry and Meghan said Archie was the “happiest” while in Africa and was making a lot of noise. As babies get older, this is often a sign that they’re getting ready to start speaking.

One royal source is certain Archie’s first word will be ‘Dada’

Though nobody can perfectly predict what will come out of Archie’s mouth first, one source close to the family is certain he will say “Dada.” Archie reportedly has a very strong relationship with his father, and though Meghan spends more time with him, he supposedly gets instantly excited when Harry walks into a room. A source told Express that Archie is very smart and can already sit up and roll over. This has led some to believe he’s very close to talking, too. “He can’t talk yet, but he’s trying,” the source added.

The other royals’ first words were similar

Archie wouldn’t be unlike his royal cousins if “Dada” were his first word. Though Prince George’s first word was reportedly “bilby,” (the Australian animal), Princess Charlotte’s first word was “Pop” in reference to her father. Louis’ first word hasn’t been revealed, but most babies say something referring to their mom or dad first, so it wouldn’t surprise us if he did the same. Either way, everyone is patiently waiting to hear what Archie’s first true word will be.
