‘Bachelor’ Alums Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon Want To Start Having kids Next Year

Bachelor couple Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon got married in August of this year and they’re already talking about having kids. In fact, they “talk about it a lot,” according to Haibon who was recently interviewed by Entertainment Tonight, along with his wife.

“We both want kids, but I think we’re going to wait until next year,” he told the publication.

“So there will be no new tradition this year, but next Christmas, knock on wood, hopefully there will be a new tradition in sight,” he added.

“What’s the tradition — being pregnant?” Iaconetti joked.

“It’s just like, a new thing. I don’t know,” Haibon laughed, before adding that “plans change.”

“If we’re lucky [I’ll be pregnant],” Iaconetti said.

Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon on getting older

Now that the couple’s married and they’re talking about when to start having kids, this new phase of their life is really sinking in.

“Thanksgiving was fun. His parents came down and we had a joint family Thanksgiving, and it’s really just funny to be at dinner tables and be like, ‘You’re married and you’re married and we’re married,'” Iaconetti shared. “It’s a whole different feel.”

“It feels old,” Haibon said. “My parents are married, your parents are married, I’m married!”

But Iaconetti says she’s still very much a kid at heart.

“It feels mature,” said Iaconetti. “Yet at the same time, I go, ‘Mom, I put a load of laundry in the laundry room so you can get that.’ [I’m a] kid and adult at the same time still.”

Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon were happy to see Chris Soules at a recent event

Iaconetti and Haibon were interviewed by ET at KIIS FM’S iHeartRadio Jingle Ball. Former bachelor Chris Soules was also at the event, which marked his first red carpet after his involvement in a fatal car crash in 2017. Soules was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident and received two years probation.

He told the publication that it’s “been tough.”

Iaconetti and Haibon were happy to see their friend attending the event.

“Chris has been a friend and it was just a horrible situation that happened a couple years ago, and I remember first hearing about it, and it’s that moment where your heart sinks and you have no idea what’s going to happen, because Chris is such a good friend, and it was tragic what happened,” Haibon shared. “You go through so many emotions as a friend, because you just don’t know the situation and you’re hearing rumors about what exactly happened and what didn’t happen.”

“I’m just really happy for him right now, that he’s hopefully being able to get back to his life, because I don’t think he was able to for the last few years. And so, we’ll still be there to support him. We watched football together a couple Sundays ago,” he added.

“He’s just such a kind guy, so good-hearted,” Iaconetti added. “And I’m happy to see him out here living.”
