‘Bachelor’ Colton Underwood Is Not Backing Down From Rachel Lindsay
Even though the Bachelor franchise is on hiatus until January 2020, there’s still plenty of drama between former castmates. Most of the drama involves people who used to date one another or those who were close friends once upon a time. But, the latest drama actually involves former Bachelor, Colton Underwood, and former Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay Abasolo, who actually have yet to meet one another.
How Raven Gates factors in
Apparently, the tension between Underwood and Lindsay Abasolo has been brewing for a while. However, things came to a head when Underwood jumped in on the feud involving Lindsay Abasolo and her former friend and Bachelor alum, Raven Gates. When the former bachelorette stated openly that she’d never be friends with Gates again, (for this rumored reason) Underwood quickly jumped in to provide his own negative commentary.
How the beef between Colton Underwood and Rachel Lindsay started
“Shocker. Rachel mad at another person…does she like anyone,” Underwood commented on an Us Weekly Instagram post. Of course, Underwood’s comment quickly caused Bachelor Nation to flock to him and ply him with questions about the feud. Underwood later clarified that he would not be commenting further on the feud, but had personal beef with Lindsay Abasolo because of conversations she’s had about him in the past.
Underwood claims Linsay ‘ran her mouth’ to Cassie Randolph
One conversation Underwood was particularly upset over is one that Lindsay had with his girlfriend, Cassie Randolph. “I’m not weighing in on the Rachel/Raven drama. I could care less about that, not my business. What is my business is the countless number of times she’s spoke poorly of me… including that time she ran her mouth about me to Cassie…Funny thing is I have never met her,” the Bachelor alum declared.
Lindsay invites Underwood to be a guest on her podcast
Recently, Lindsay Abasolo was a guest on the YouTube series, Whit & Ry, and she talked about her recent squabbles with both Underwood and Gates. According to the former bachelorette, she had no idea what Underwood was even referring to. “I would love for Colton to actually come on the podcast because what I’m not going to do is entertain you in the comments section of somebody else’s post. What I will do is have a grown a*s conversation with you and we can talk about it but what I don’t appreciate are the accusations being made because I believe he said I ran my mouth to Cassie, Well your girl follows me on Instagram so I don’t know what I could have said,” Lindsay Abasolo began.
According to the former bachelorette, the conversation she had with Randolph was more focused on life after The Bachelor and how to sustain the public’s interest once the fame from the show had died down a bit. “He’s making it seem like I said don’t be with him. I would never tell another woman not to be with a man unless I had some type of relationship with her,” the newlywed continued.
The Bachelor alum isn’t up for arguing on Instagram
In fact, Underwood’s comments have left the attorney in a state of confusion. But, she opted not to comment back because she has better things to do with her time. “I’m so confused as to why he thinks I ran my mouth. It’s so petty to me. As much as I wanted to go at him in the comments section, I just thought you know what? Excuse me. I need to go interview Oprah Winfrey. That was literally my mindset. I don’t have time for this,” The Bachelor alum confessed.
Lindsay Abasolo concluded by saying that she had no idea that Underwood was harboring such animosity towards her and she’d rather talk things out face-to-face. “I’d love to hash it out and discuss it in person. I didn’t know he was holding this resentment towards me. What’s today? October 14. I met Cassie three months ago so I don’t understand why you’re commenting on it on an Instagram post,” the former bachelorette shared.
Underwood responds on Twitter
It didn’t take long for Underwood to catch wind of Lindsay Abasolo’s most recent comments. He quickly shared that he’d be happy to hash out there differences in person, but he did have a few stipulations. “I’ll come on your podcast Rachel. One condition: ask your producer to leave it raw, unedited and untouched. Looking forward to meeting you & pointing out your hypocrisy over the last year,” Underwood tweeted. Well, we’re sure that Bachelor nation will be waiting on bated breath to see how this continues to play out. Who needs TV, when you’ve got drama in real life?
