‘Bachelor’ Fans Think Jed Wyatt’s Instagram Photo of Himself Is Strange and Over-Edited
Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor is well underway, and we’re all anxious to see who he’ll choose in the end. We remember when he first starred on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, too. While Brown didn’t pick him in the end, many think she made a mistake, as her first choice, Jed Wyatt, seriously broke her heart due to his lies.
Wyatt proposed to Brown at the end of The Bachelorette, but his ex-girlfriend exposed him for only going on the show to jump-start his music career. Now, it seems he’s still putting his life out there for the world to see on Instagram. But he’s still under fire from many — and his Instagram photo headshot he posted is receiving intense scrutiny. Here’s what everyone’s talking about.
Jed Wyatt broke Hannah Brown’s heart after proposing to her on ‘The Bachelorette’
While everyone hopes contestants on The Bachelor or Bachelorette are in it to find true love, that’s not always the case. And Haley Stevens, Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend whom he dated for four months prior to going on the show, exposed Wyatt for chasing fame and fortune rather than Brown’s heart.
According to Stevens, Wyatt told her that getting on The Bachelorette would be great in the long run for both of them. And he also promised Stevens that they’d maintain their relationship once he returned. Unfortunately for Stevens, she was totally duped — and when Wyatt returned to his hometown as an engaged man, he didn’t contact her for two weeks.
“It was heartbreaking for me and I can’t imagine how heartbreaking it is for her,” Stevens told E! News.
He’s still under intense scrutiny from fans as he pursues a new relationship
The dust has settled between Wyatt and Brown. While Brown attempted to rekindle her relationship with runner-up Tyler Cameron (and possibly Weber on The Bachelor), it appears she’s still a single woman. But Wyatt is officially taken, and he keeps posting all about his new girlfriend to Instagram.
At the end of November 2019, Wyatt’s followers got a glimpse into his love life. “Thanks @mastro_m for introducing me to the only person to make me smile more than riding a jetski,” he captioned his post of him and his new love interest, Ellen Decker. Since then, he’s posted many other sweet photos of the two of them — but some of Wyatt’s followers still don’t trust his intentions.
“You move on quickly,” one follower commented on the post.
Another accused, “watch out @ellendeckerr, he probably has another girl at home waiting for him.”
His Instagram followers think his latest photo looks too edited
Not only is Wyatt’s relationship status getting a ton of attention, but a headshot he posted on Jan. 8 is also receiving some serious fan scrutiny. “Ready to pour my soul into this year. Feeling more focused, driven, and happy than I ever have. Extremely thankful for the people and lessons of 2019,” he captioned his post. “My number one priority is getting closer to God this year, I’ve been working on it for about 5 months now and I’ve had ups and downs, but I’ve found the more I focus on Him the more I find joy in my life and relationships.”
The sentiment of Wyatt’s New Year’s post is nice, but his followers can’t get over the over-edited photo that appears to change his eye color.
“What the f*** is this editing job,” one follower commented.
“Who did your eye filters… #yikes,” another added.
“Wtf is wrong with your eyes @jedwyatt ?” yet another follower added.
From his girlfriend to his over-editing, it seems there’s constantly something to scrutinize Wyatt over. Hopefully, he’ll learn for next time to take it easy with the Instagram filters.
