‘Bachelor In Paradise’: Blake Horstmann Addresses The Caelynn Miller-Keyes Drama In An Instagram Post
We’re only two episodes into Bachelor In Paradise and already things are heating up on the beach. It seems Blake Horstmann spent time with both Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Kristina Schulman prior to filming this summer.
In the first two episodes, Miller-Keyes has accused Horstmann of making her feel like a “dirty secret” and a “mistake” after sleeping together at Stagecoach (the night after he slept with Schulman). After viewing the episodes, Horstmann took to Instagram to post his side of the story.
Blake’s Instagram post addressing Caelynn’s accusations
Horstmann began by saying that he’s made a lot of mistakes this past year, particularly with women. He mentioned that he’s “in a dark place,” and has been struggling with insecurities. He acknowledges that he hurt people and he’s working to do better.
Then, he addresses Miller-Keyes’ accusations.
“With all of that said, I want the get the truth out. I was not able to defend myself down in Paradise, because me and most of the beach had no idea the things Caelynn was saying in her interviews. I NEVER “sett talked” her at Stagecoach. Caelynn and I were NEVER in a relationship. I NEVER ghosted Caelynn, I NEVER called her a mistake and I absolutely NEVER EVER EVER silenced Caelynn. I never expected to have to do something like this, but after finally seeing the episodes I feel like I have no other choice but to release the text exchanges between her and myself.
This is the last thing I wanted to do, but my name and character are being attacked. My name is all I really have. Most of all, it is the only real way to prove what is being said by Caelynn and the story that is being shown is far from the truth. I’m deeply sorry for my actions at Stagecoach but telling the world that I silenced a woman amongst many other harmful accusations was just too much.
I have genuine compassion for the trauma Caelynn has experienced in the past. To make her question my intentions in any way devastates me beyond anything I’ve ever felt. Something I’ve learned is to be completely clear, because I never want to make anyone to not clearly understand my intentions again. I was under the impression it was “just sex” to her. Which you will see in her texts.
I understand that I will probably get a lot of backlash for posting these personal text messages in my stories but unfortunately this is the only way to have a voice, since I very much feel backed into a corner,” he wrote.
Blake releases the text messages he and Caelynn exchanged during Stagecoach and before ‘Paradise’
To further prove his point, Horstmann released several pages of text conversations between him and Miller-Keyes.
In the exchange, Miller-Keyes tells Horstmann “if I come over it’s strictly for sex” after Horstmann tells her “We can cuddle but no sex lol” when the two were at Stagecoach (spoiler: they obviously had sex).
Then, one week before Paradise, according to Horstmann, the two discussed whether they should tell people about their night together or not. The two seemed to land on: “I think we r over thinking everything.”
