‘Bachelor in Paradise’: Did This Instagram Post Just Reveal that a Fan Favorite is Engaged?
Things are getting serious on Bachelor in Paradise. There comes a point in every season of the show where things change. The relationships suddenly stop being flirty and fun and start turning into something more real. We have reached that turning point this season.
Couples have formed and are starting to talk about their futures and what life could be like together outside of Paradise.
Paradise Engagements
Bachelor in Paradise has a high success rate when it comes to couples. Of course, when mentioning BIP couples, people always like to mention Jade and Tanner Tolbert, who were the original BIP love story. The couple is now married with two kids. But they aren’t the only Paradise success. Carly Waddell and Evan Bass also met on Paradise and eventually grew to love each other, got married, and now have a kid. Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone also met on Paradise and recently got married. And who could forget Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, whose romance spanned multiple seasons of BIP before they got married?
Basically, Paradise works.
Demi Burnett’s journey on ‘Paradise’
Demi Burnett has been a fan favorite since she first appeared on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. But when she came onto Paradise, she had a huge secret. She had been dating a woman back home.
Burnett tried to go to Paradise with an open mind and see if there was anyone there who she could connect with. She ended up spending time with Derek Peth, who had gotten engaged on a previous season of Paradise to Taylor Nolan.
But Burnett couldn’t stop thinking about her girlfriend back home, Kristian Haggerty.
“I have Derek in front of me and it feels nice to be around him, but I don’t have Kristian around me, so I don’t know how I’d feel if it was just me and her,” Burnett said in her confessional. “It’s easy for people who are exploring options here because all of their options are here, and one of my options is not here. So that’s where it gets a little difficult for me.”
When Haggerty came onto the show, Burnett knew who she wanted.
“I thought not seeing you…I wouldn’t think about you as much and I’d think about what was in front of me,” she told Haggerty. “But the opposite happened. The more I was away from you…the more I thought about you. The more I spent time with him, the more you kept coming to the forefront of my mind. The second I saw you, I knew…it’s you. It’s always been you. I want to be with you.”
Does Burnett get engaged?
Haggerty ended up staying on the show and continuing to date Burnett. Though the season is not over, Burnett’s former Bachelor castmate, Heather Martin posted a picture on Instagram that might reveal how Haggerty and Burnett’s relationship ended up.
Martin posted a picture of her and Burnett in what appears to be a bridal shop. Burnett was coincidentally wearing all white in the photo.
Fans were quick to jump on the post with questions.
“Who’s getting married, Heather?” one fan commented.
“Is that a wedding dress shop?” another fan asked.
We’ll have to wait until the end of the season to find out if the photo means what we think it does.
