‘Bachelor in Paradise’: Hannah G. Says Fans Are Putting Too Much Pressure on Her and Blake Horstmann
Hannah Godwin, along with Tayshia Adams, was the runner-up on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. The two had major chemistry until Colton fell for contestant Cassie Randolph.
Though Hannah G. is still in the process of healing, being on The Bachelor has opened a few doors for the reality star. She recently reached 1 million followers on Instagram (which is a big deal if you make your money advertising on the social site), there were talks of her being named The Bachelorette, and she’s all but confirmed to appear on Bachelor in Paradise this summer.
Hannah G. was a fan-favorite on Colton’s season, and Bachelor Nation would be ecstatic to see her in Paradise. There’s one former Bachelorette contestant, in particular, fans would like her to meet. Blake Horstmann was the sweet, sensitive runner up of Becca Kufrin’s season. Bachelor Nation seems to think the two would make an incredible pair.
After BN started shipping Blake and Hannah, she started mentioning in interviews that, were she to go to Paradise, she wouldn’t mind running into Blake there.
“I think Blake’s a catch. So I’d like to see him there,” she said to Extra TV. “I’d have to hang out with him to kind of figure out if that would work and everything. So maybe Paradise would be a spot to meet each other. Who knows. But also I want to go in super open-minded and just go in with my gut.”
Then in an interview with Us Weekly, she brought up Blake’s name again when asked if there’s anyone she’d like to meet in Paradise.
“I think Blake’s a cutie,” she said.
Hannah G. and Blake Horstmann have met
In a recent interview with former Bachelor contestant Olivia Caridi on her podcast, Mouthing Off, Hannah spoke about briefly meeting Blake.
“I haven’t gotten the chance to actually really know him and I think it’s really important if I go into Paradise, treating the whole experience fairly. I don’t want to get into a position where I get my hopes up or anything like that again because that just happened to me with the whole Colton thing. I think the point of Paradise is to go in there and give anything you think might have a spark a shot and that’s why it’s called Paradise. I’d think we’re both on the same page but you never know,” she explained.
Bachelor Nation is putting too much pressure on Hannah G. and Blake Horstmann
She went on to say that Bachelor Nation, despite meaning well, is putting a lot of pressure on her and Blake. Fans are starting to come up with couple names and it’s a bit much for Hannah G.
“People are putting so much pressure on it! I don’t want to put too much pressure. We were both in a spot where we were so close and I don’t want either of us to have pressure going into something,” she said.
Both Hannah and Blake have experienced heartbreak on national television. The last thing she wants to do is set either of them up for failure again.
