‘Bachelor in Paradise’: How Many Couples Actually Last Past the Final Episode Each Season?
Bachelor in Paradise is arguably the best show in the Bachelor franchise. If you haven’t watched it, you’ve been missing out.
Unlike The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise gives multiple people the opportunity to find love. The show brings some of our favorite Bachelor contestants of old together to for a second (or third) chance at love. With so many people trying to find the one, things get crazy. There are breakups, makeups, and drunken outbursts at every corner.
Despite all of the dramatics, some people actually come to Paradise to find love. Reality television romances get a bad rep. Even past contestants on Bachelor shows have questioned if love can really blossom in such a short time under such weird circumstances.
Many couples do actually get engaged or leave Paradise together, but do they really stay together past the reunion?
Couples that didn’t make it
Just because a couple gets engaged or makes it to the end of Paradise together, doesn’t mean that the relationship lasts. Some pairs find it hard to keep the romance going once they aren’t secluded on a beach with nothing to do but love one another.
Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd got engaged at the end of the first season of BIP. Their wedding was shown on season two of the show. Unfortunately, they were never legally married and split up in 2016.
Michelle Money and Cody Sattler also finished off season one of Paradise together but eventually split.
Season two saw Samantha Steffen and Nick Peterson come together, but their relationship didn’t last very long post-Paradise.
Season three, Bachelor favorite and mom of two, Amanda Stanton got engaged to Josh Murray. Unfortunately, they broke up in Dec. 2016. Grant Kemp and Lace Morris also got engaged that season but split in 2016.
Taylor Nolan and Derek Peth got engaged at the end of season four but they split after the season ended and Peth went back on Paradise this season.
At the end of season five of Paradise, Jordan Kimball and Jenna Cooper got engaged. Shortly after filming ended, rumors of Cooper cheating on her fiance began to swirl and the couple eventually called off the engagement.
That same season, Kamil Nicalek and Annaliese Puccini ended up together. But at the reunion, it became clear that Nicalek never had feelings for Puccini at all.
Who has stayed together?
It’s not all bad news for BIP couples. Some of them have stayed together and even started families!
Jade and Tanner Tolbert met in Paradise, got married, and now have two children. Carly Waddell and Evan Bass also met on Paradise. They are also married and have one child and one on the way.
Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon recently got married after a long and winding road to one another that spanned multiple seasons of Paradise.
And Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson’s wedding was shown this season on Paradise.
Even some of the couples who didn’t get engaged on the final day of Paradise are doing well. Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk from season four of the show recently got engaged, as did Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch.
See, love can last!
