Horstmann came onto the show single, but his past caught up with him. That’s because he hooked up with multiple cast members before the season.

First he crossed paths with Caelynn Miller-Keyes. She revealed that they hooked up after meeting at Stagecoach. Apparently, this happened the night after he spent with Kristina Schulman. Caelynn claimed he told her to lie about their night together. Both ladies ended up confronting him about it.

Kristina picked him for her date and told him his actions were a “slap in the face.” She still gave Blake her rose.

She explained this by tweeting, “Ultimately, I care about people. Blake and I have been friends for the past year, yes I give him sh*t and he’s very well aware but he came on the show to find love & I believed he deserved to stay #bacheloreinparadise.”

He released alleged texts between him and Caelynn Miller-Keyes

Horstmann took to social media after the episode aired. He decided to defend himself by releasing alleged texts between him and Caelynn.

The texts showed them discussing meeting up to have sex. They later texted again one week before Bachelor in Paradise wondering if they should keep their time together a secret. They both seemed to agree to be honest despite Caelynn claiming he told her to hide it.

This had some fans turn on Caelynn, but others were angry at Blake for sharing the screenshots. He later apologized in a video on Instagram.

“This is the last thing I wanted to do, but my name and character are being attacked,” he explained according to Extra. “My name is all I really have. Most of all, it is the only real way to prove that what is being said by Caelynn and the story that is being shown is far from the truth.”

He continued, “I’m deeply sorry for my actions at Stagecoach but telling the world that I silenced a woman amongst many other harmful accusations was just too much.”

Kristina Schulman says he felt betrayed by his friends during the show

Schulman is opening up about how Horstmann has been dealing with the backlash of this new season. She said he felt like some of their friends weren’t there for him.

“I’m supporting him because I think he needs it. He’s had so many people be supportive of him and be there as his friend, but when the show started airing, he didn’t see a majority of those people,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “So, he feels a form of betrayal and that nobody was there for him.”

She then said, “I just continue as someone to hold his hand and show that, ‘Hey, I’ve been here for you for a year.'”

Blake ended the season by falling for Kristina. However, she didn’t feel the same way and they both went home.
