‘Bachelor In Paradise’: Nicole Lopez-Alvar Absolutely Roasts Clay Harbor In A Comment On His Instagram

Nicole Lopez-Alvar and Clay Harbor seemed to be one of the strongest couples on Bachelor In Paradise this summer. But as the season progressed, Nicole began to feel more and more unsure of where Clay stood.

The two headed into the Fantasy Suite together but, once there, Clay began to express to Nicole that he wasn’t in love with her and that he wasn’t ready to move in together. Nicole appeared shocked and dissapointed, saying he had lead her to believe differently.

In the end, they broke up on the beach after Nicole asked Clay if he loved her and he said he didn’t.

At the Bachelor In Paradise reunion, Nicole and Clay didn’t get any airtime. Thankfully, the show posted the former couple’s unaired interview to Twitter.

During their interview, Nicole looked pissed. Clay mentioned that he’s glad she’s with a new boyfriend and he hopes she’s happy with him. Nicole responded by saying that she deserved to be with someone who makes her his first priority.

Nicole’s brutal comment on Clay’s Instagram post

After the finale aired, Clay posted a photo of his unaired interview with a very unhappy looking Nicole with the caption: “Photographic evidence that I made it to reunion. #hatersgonnasayitsfake#picoritdidnthappen.”

Nicole commented: “I’m surprised you weren’t still at the pub,” referring to the clip of Clay getting driven off the beach after their breakup where he said “I’m glad I met Nicole but let’s stop at the local pub.”

A few fans responded to Nicole’s comment.

“Savage but i love it,” wrote one Instagram user.

“get it girl,” commented another.

Even Clay responded: “I would have been but security finally kicked me out.”

Fans are sympathetic to both Nicole and Clay

Bachelor In Paradise fans have taken to both Nicole and Clay’s social channels to show their support.

On Clay’s Instagram, there are several comments expressing an understanding for someone who wouldn’t want to get engaged after 16 days.

“I respect your honesty Clay!, no girls should demand for love or engagement or marriage. If I were Nicole I would still give this guy a change out side paradise buble,” wrote one fan.

“Yeahhh. Nicole overreacted. It’s ridiculous to fall in love in that short time period and then get engaged after,” commented another.

On Nicole’s Instagram and Twitter pages, fans are showing their support for her not settling for a man who didn’t love her.

I remember this hug like it was yesterday. The warmth, the comfort. I’m not the touchy-feely type, but I needed it. Just days before I had been so blissfully happy. “How can so much change in the blink of an eye?,” I said to myself that morning. As I waited for my cue to walk [Read: stumble] across the sand, I felt my heart drop to the pit of my stomach — that uncertainty that so many women feel. “How come he’s saying all these ‘right’ things, and yet, I must leave him?’” I quickly realized I had grown accustomed to accepting the bare minimum from my romantic interests all my life. Even after sharing my heart and soul with them, both emotionally and physically, I had learned to accept that I wasn’t worth fighting for. That I was always someone’s “maybe.” Someone’s last-minute Netflix invitation on a ‪Friday night‬. Someone’s, “Sorry, I’m just swamped with work this week.” Someone’s, “I’m not looking for anything serious.” If I was still that woman who didn’t know her own worth, I know I would’ve stayed with Clay. I would’ve accepted the bare minimum. However, I am not that woman anymore. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now, when I see this picture, I see strength in that embrace. I see a woman who didn’t take “maybe” for an answer. A woman who followed her intuition, stepped aside from her own insecurities and fears, and assessed the bigger picture. A woman who realized her time and love is not only valuable, but precious. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Chris Harrison, thank you. That scared girl who stepped out of the limo at the “Bachelor Mansion” a year ago is no more. While she may not have gotten the outcome she wanted… she gained so much more. ❤️

“Good for you! You nailed it. I was screaming, “Don’t be an idiot Clay!” at the TV over and over. Apparently he didn’t hear me. I clapped for you when you walked away. Ain’t got NO time for people who don’t match my feelings. I’m stoked for you, and the lucky man who gets to share his life with you! Good luck, and go get ‘em!” wrote one fan on Nicole’s Isntagram.

“You are awesome and deserve so much more, no more taking care of men who don’t take care of you!!!” commented another.
