‘Bachelor in Paradise’: So Here’s What Went On Between Hannah G. and Blake Horstmann Before Paradise
Is it just us or is Bachelor in Paradise becoming a little incestuous? It seems like as the years have gone on, what happens off-camera has started to become just as important as the things that happen during the season.
When BIP first began, the contestants on the show were mostly meeting each other for the first time. Now, because they all do so many appearances and social media sponsorships together, many of them have met before they ever arrive on the beach. But just meeting isn’t the problem. Hooking up before Paradise is where things get sticky.
Who did Blake Horstmann hook up with before Paradise?
Blake Horstmann is one of the worst offenders of dipping his hand in the Paradise cookie jar too soon. This season, it has already come out that he was intimate with BIP vet Kristina Schulman and Caelynn Miller-Keyes from Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor at Stagecoach Festival.
Unfortunately for Horstmann, both women immediately began to tell people what went on between them as soon as they got to the beach.
“I thought he was a great guy and that we really had something, Miller-Keyes told bartender Wells Adams back in week one. “We talked about skipping Paradise and coming out with us, and then he ghosted me. Just like fully stopped communication and now I’m here. F—ing first date. And then we saw each other at a music festival. He ended up sweet-talking me and we spent the night together. And we wake up and I’m in his bed and he’s DMing Hannah G. I’m still in his bed, he’s talking about how hot Tayshia is. I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ Like no dude, that’s not okay. And then he was like, ‘I just want to let you know I hooked up with Kristina the night before.'”
What went on between Hannah Godwin and Horstmann?
The first hint that we had that Hannah Godwin and Horstmann had anything going on was when Miller-Keyes revealed that he had been texting Godwin right after their hookup.
On last night’s episode, Godwin astounded the rest of the cast by making out with Horstmann in front of the entire beach. And to add insult to injury, when her new boo Dylan Barbour tried to pull her away from Horstmann to talk, she refused to leave.
It left Barbour and the rest of Bachelor nation wondering if Godwin and Horstmann had some kind of history that none of us knew about.
Did Godwin and Horstmann know each other before ‘Paradise’?
Besides DMing, which is pretty par for the course for this cast, did Horstmann and Godwin ever actually meet before Paradise?
Well, according to the preview for tonight’s episode, Horstmann flew to Alabama to see Godwin just weeks before coming onto Paradise. Which makes it extremely weird that the pair didn’t mention anything about it and even stranger that Horstmann took Tayshia Adams on a date when he got to the beach and not Godwin.
Each episode, Horstmann just seems to dig himself deeper and deeper into a hole and ruins his chances at finding love. Maybe next year, he should just sit Stagecoach out.
