‘Bachelor in Paradise’: These are the Couples Who May Get Engaged This Season
All is right with the world again. Our favorite Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants are back for a summer of love, alcohol, hookups, and breakups. What could be better?
If you’ve never watched Bachelor in Paradise before, let us break it down for you. On The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, there are 20+ contestants fighting for one person’s affections. It’s interesting, of course, but the storylines can get pretty stale from time to time.
On Bachelor in Paradise, everyone is trying to find love, which means there is the potential for multiple breakdowns, multiple fights, but also multiple engagements. It’s like the Bachelor on steroids.
At the end of the summer, the couples who are left on the show must decide if they want to end their relationship on the beach, continue dating, or get engaged.
‘Bachelor in Paradise’ engagements
Bachelor in Paradise has a surprisingly high success rate amongst couples. Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert, often deemed the OG BIP couple, got married after meeting on the show and now have two kids together. Carly Waddell and Evan Bass also met on the reality show and now are married with one kid.
Villains Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone are another pair who found love on the beach and got married. And though Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon had a long and winding road to love, the two are now engaged after meeting on BIP.
So, the relationships made in paradise can work if the contestants choose the right people.
Who is getting engaged this season?
There are a number of contestants who are rumored to take it to the next level this summer.
Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski
You may remember Katie Morton as one of the beauties from Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. She also made an appearance in the beginning of Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette to help Brown weed out the guys who weren’t there for the right reasons.
Chris Bukowski first came into the Bachelor world in 2012 and had since said that he was retiring from all things Bachelor related. But there have been rumors going around that the two hit it off in paradise and may actually end up together.
Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty
It recently came out that Demi Burnett would date a woman on this season of BIP. Kristian Haggerty is not someone from the Bachelor universe but apparently, the two had been dating before Burnett came on the show, and production allowed Haggerty to come to paradise and continue her relationship with Burnett.
Rumor has it that the women end the season together with two new rings.
Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour
Hannah Godwin got her heartbroken on The Bachelor after Colton Underwood chose to continue dating Cassie Randolph. But she is said to have hit off in paradise with Dylan Barbour from Brown’s season.
“Hannah G. is unbelievable. I mean, she’s obviously just beautiful,” Barbour recently told Entertainment Tonight. “And I think it’s unfortunate we didn’t get to see her personality [on The Bachelor] and I’m excited to just… I’m excited for everyone to see kinda what the energy is like.”
“[I] can’t stop smiling,” he continued. “I think that there’s a lot of attractive women in the word and the most important thing is just, like, an emotional and mental, obviously physical attraction to it too. So, I’m hoping we find that.”
“[I’m] hoping people see kind of what maybe we have, or maybe I’ll have someone else,” he added. “Maybe I get sent home first week. Who knows!”
