‘Bachelor in Paradise’: This is the Biggest Mistake Blake Horstmann Has Made, According to Wells Adams

A lot of people have made mistakes on Bachelor in Paradise. When there is alcohol paired with a bunch of singles on a beach, there are bound to be some missteps that happen. But one contestant really came out of the gate on his worst behavior.

Blake Horstmann really loves the women of Bachelor Nation. So much so that he got to know more than a few of them before he even came to Paradise.

Horstmann’s relationship with the women of ‘Paradise’

Apparently, before filming began, Horstmann saw several of the women of Paradise at Stagecoach Festival. During the festival, he flirted with Tayshia Adams and hooked up with both Kristina Schulman and Caelynn Miller-Keyes.

“I thought he was a great guy and that we really had something,” Miller-Keyes told bartender Wells Adams of her relationship with Horstmann. “We talked about skipping Paradise and coming out with us, and then he ghosted me. Just like fully stopped communication and now I’m here. F—ing first date. And then we saw each other at a music festival. He ended up sweet-talking me and we spent the night together. And we wake up and I’m in his bed and he’s DMing Hannah G. I’m still in his bed, he’s talking about how hot Tayshia is. I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ Like no dude, that’s not okay. And then he was like, ‘I just want to let you know I hooked up with Kristina the night before.'”

On top of that, he flew out to see Hannah Godwin right before filming started as well.

Horstmann releases text messages

Once the episodes started airing, people began bashing Horstmann for his bad behavior. Feeling like he needed to clear his name, Horstmann posted a long message to Instagram explaining himself, along with several text messages between him and Miller-Keyes.

“I want to get the truth out,” he wrote. “I was not able to defend myself down in Paradise, because me and most of the beach had no idea the things Caelynn was saying in her interviews. I NEVER ‘sweet talked’ her at Stagecoach. Caelynn and I were NEVER in a relationship. I NEVER ghosted Caelynn, I NEVER called her a mistake and I absolutely NEVER EVER EVER silenced Caelynn. I never expected to have to do something like this, but after finally seeing the episodes I feel like I have no other choice but to release the text exchanges between her and myself.”

“This is the last thing I wanted to do, but my name and character are being attacked,” he continued. “My name is all I really have. Most of all, it is the only real way to prove what is being said by Caelynn and the story that is being shown is far from the truth. I’m deeply sorry for my actions at Stagecoach but telling the world that I silenced a woman amongst many other harmful accusations was just too much.”

What does Wells Adams think was Horstmann’s worst mistake?

As you can see, Horstmann has made a lot of not-so-good choices. But according to resident bartender Wells Adams, releasing the texts was the worst one.

“He was, like, an episode away from it being over. It’s not his story anymore,” Adams told Entertainment Tonight. “People on the show are forgiving him and stuff… he was right there. He was on the precipice of not being a focal point anymore. And then he did that, and it’s, like, right back in the spotlight of a guy who just makes bad decisions when it comes to the show and with women.”

“I don’t think, saying like, ‘I told you so,” he continued. “You saw the receipts!’ Is a good play for him. I think he needs to be like, ‘Listen, guys, I made a lot of bad decisions.”
