‘The Bachelor’ Trailer Teases Tyler Cameron and Heather Martin’s Shocking Return in Week 6
The latest Bachelor Season 25 promo trailer just teased the most-dramatic episode on Feb. 8 with not one, but two familiar faces for Matt James. The franchise confirmed the return of Tyler Cameron from The Bachelorette Season 15 and Heather Martin from The Bachelor Season 23. That said, both arrivals had two completely different tones. So, here’s what to expect next.
How does Tyler Cameron know Matt James from ‘The Bachelor’ Season 25?
In case you need a refresher, Cameron was from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. The contestant made it through to the top two. But, in the end, Brown chose Jed Wyatt as her final rose. However, Brown and Wyatt broke up in The Bachelorette finale. Then Brown reconnected with Cameron after filming. They are now friends.
Meanwhile, Cameron is best friends with James. The two met long before The Bachelor franchise, as they both played football for Wake Forest University. Then Bachelor Nation fans got to know James when he became part of the Quarantine Crew alongside Cameron and Brown. Cameron and James also run ABC Food Tours together.
How do Heather Martin and Matt James know each other?
Now, Martin is also connected to James through Brown. The 25-year-old contestant was on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, which Brown appeared in before The Bachelorette. Martin was also the cast member who has never been kissed. She was eliminated in the seventh week.
That said, James recently revealed he didn’t have any sort of relationship with Martin before becoming the bachelor.
“I have met Heather before [but] I had no relationship with her,” James told Us Weekly in February 2021. “But, she does have a relationship with one of my good friends Hannah Brown.”
‘The Bachelor’ Season 25 Episode 6 promo trailer teases drama
The Bachelor Season 25 Episode 6 promo trailer previews a whole lot of drama for the cast — and James. The teaser opens with the women in full-on panic mode. Then it moves on to highlight individual drama, from MJ Snyder and Jessenia Cruz’s two-on-one date to an argument between Katie Thurston and Serena Chew.
Meanwhile, Pieper gets a fun one-on-one date. But, she might be having doubts. “I just hate caring this much and not knowing what it’s all for,” Pieper says in a voiceover.
Finally, The Bachelor trailer moves on to Cameron’s return to the franchise. The former Bachelorette contestant is playing pool with James. And it seems the two friends have a quick debriefing session. “Bro, there’s so much sh*t. I don’t even know where to start,” James tells Cameron.
Then a white minivan pulls up to the entrance of the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. It’s Martin. “Hi, my name is Heather Martin. I’m looking for Chris Harrison,” she says.
The Bachelor promo ends with Harrison looking as confused as ever. “Heather, what are you doing here?” the host says. “You could honestly destroy this whole thing for Matt.”
Matt James teases Tyler Cameron and Heather Martin’s arrival after ‘The Bachelor’ Week 6 trailer
In the above interview with Us Weekly, James revealed he was just as shocked as everyone else by Martin’s Bachelor appearance. The lead also teased her return to the franchise “makes for a very interesting conversation.” That said, it doesn’t look like Martin will stay for long.
When speaking with Extra, James hinted that he wasn’t happy with Martin’s appearance, as it happened after weeks of filming The Bachelor Season 25.
“At this point, I’ve established relationships,” James said. “I’m really trying to dive in with these women and see if it’s worth pursuing and someone who I could spend the rest of my life with. To have someone pull up toward the tail end of what’s supposed to be… kind of coming to a decision, that’s tough.”
Meanwhile, James thought it was “incredible” to have Cameron on the show. “It was right when I needed him,” James said of Cameron’s appearance. “Him being there to confirm everything that I’m feeling, as someone who’s going through it, was everything I needed.”
The Bachelor lead also teased how Cameron gets involved in week 6. “Just to tease a little bit of next week’s date, he wound up finding himself in a situation he hasn’t signed up for,” James said. “So, it was good to have him there.”
The Bachelor Season 25 with Matt James airs Monday nights on ABC.
