‘The Bachelor’: Who Is Madison Prewett? Peter Weber’s Contestant Is an Auburn Grad With a ‘Heart of Gold’
Are you ready to dive into a whole new world of drama when Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor premieres? The answer is yes. The ABC reality series officially kicks off on Monday, Jan. 6. And of course, this means everyone is digging into all of Weber’s contestants, including Madison Prewett, who seems to have a “heart of gold” — at least according to Chris Harrison.
Who is Madison Prewett from Peter Weber’s season of ‘The Bachelor’?
According to Prewett’s Bachelor profile on ABC’s website, the 23-year-old is from Auburn, Alabama, and she is a foster parent recruiter. It also seems Prewett is really big on basketball, having been taught by her father, Chad Prewett, who happens to be the coach of the Auburn Tigers basketball team.
“She shoots! SHE SCORES! That is something Madison is used to hearing,” Prewett’s bio reads. “This Alabama cutie not only helped lead her high school basketball team to four state championships, she was also once named state MVP thanks to her unstoppable jump shot. She credits a lot of her success to her dad who coached her and always encouraged her to dream big.”
Prewett’s profile then hinted she is religious and wants a family — and she wants her partner to share the same values. Her bio continued:
While basketball has always been her first love, she knows that it can’t give her everything she needs, and at 23, Madison is more than ready to find her forever. She’s looking for a man who will prioritize faith and family before everything else. She is hoping to find someone who shares the same religious values that she and her family have. He also MUST want children and know how to have fun. Her dream is to travel the world and spread love through missionary work. Madison has high expectations, but she’s hopeful that one day, she’ll board a plane and sitting next to her will be the man of her dreams. Maybe she should check the cockpit instead!
Meanwhile, Prewett is one of many pageant girls vying for Weber’s heart on The Bachelor, as she competed in the 2014 Miss Alabama Teen USA pageant. Prewett’s Instagram feed also shows she is a recent Auburn graduate, as she earned her degree in 2018. And within the same year, Prewett appeared on The Price Is Right, winning $8000.
Chris Harrison shares details about Madison Prewett on ‘The Bachelor’
On Dec. 16, ABC aired a live broadcast of Harrison as the host introduced all 30 cast members of The Bachelor Season 24. Harrison went down the list, per usual. However, it seemed something about Prewett’s dance caught his eye.
As soon as Prewett appeared onscreen, Harrison’s eyes gleamed. “You go girl, yes!” Harrison said as other Bachelor producers behind the camera began cheering their girl on. “That just summed it up right there.”
The host then continued on with Prewett’s background. “Auburn girl, don’t say ‘Roll Tide.’ Look, we had a full season of Roll Tide. Do not say that to Madison,” Harrison said. “She’s an Auburn Tiger… with her dad, by the way, who is an assistant coach for Auburn’s Final Four basketball team.”
He then proceeded to gush over the contestant. “Madison is also a heck of a hoops player herself — former MVP for her four-time state champion high school hoops team. So bad*ss girl here,” Harrison said. “What makes her even more special? Heart of gold. She is a recruiter that matches foster parents with children. So this is a good girl.”
And to top it off, it seems Prewett hits if off with Weber right away. But be warned, spoilers ahead.
“Spoiler alert! For anybody play Fantasy Bachelor out there, first one-on-one date,” Harrison said. “So a bit of a spoiler here, Madison, if you’re watching, you’re ahead in your game.”
Judging from the producer response to Prewett, it seems the Bachelor contestant made a lasting impression on everyone involved. But just how much of an impact did she have on Weber? You’re going to have to wait and see.
