‘The Bachelorette’: Clare Crawley Puts Juan Pablo Galavis in His Place on Twitter and Fans Are So Ready to Watch Her Season
The Bachelorette’s Clare Crawley isn’t playing games — and certainly not with her ex, Juan Pablo Galavis, on Twitter. The former bachelor recently poked fun at Crawley’s cast on the ABC reality series. However, the hairstylist from Sacramento fired back, reminding Bachelor Nation fans of Crawley’s strength during her breakup with Galavis so many moons ago.
‘The Bachelorette’s Clare Crawley responds to Juan Pablo Galavis on Twitter
On March 2, Crawley was announced as the 2020 Bachelorette lead. Then a few days after the news broke, Galavis offered words of support toward his ex.
“For THOSE asking me about @Clare_Crawley as the NEW Bachelorette, I believe she is PERFECT for it,” he wrote on Twitter. “She DESERVES unconditional LOVE and a family.”
After the tweet, fans thought this would be the last Galavis would bring up Crawley’s season. However, this wasn’t the case. On March 14, the 38-year-old bachelor seemed to make a snarky statement about the ages of Crawley’s contestants.
“I just SAW the GUYS for @Clare_Crawley Bachelorette season and its gonna be INTERESTING seeing HER get hit on by KIDS on their 20s,” Galavis tweeted. “I think this MIGHT be the 3rd SEASON Im gonna watch.”
Meanwhile, a fan commented, “I knew you’d have some sort of jealous petty response to this.” Galavis then replied, “Jealous? I just see it FASCINATING.”
Finally, Crawley entered the thread, calling out Galavis for his remarks. “And yet here you are, older than 99% of them and still cant practice compassion and kindness,” she wrote.
Then in response, Galavis clarified his tweet, noting he wasn’t trying to mock Crawley and didn’t mean any harm. “Hey, ALL I want is for you to FIND love, you taking it the WRONG way Clare,” Galavis wrote.
Crawley has yet to respond. But regardless, Bachelor Nation fans are rallying behind the new bachelorette. And even the franchise’s host, Chris Harrison, came to her defense.
“And this is why she’s our #Bachelorette,” Harrison wrote, referencing Crawley’s tweet. “She’s playing chess while the rest play checkers.”
How did ‘The Bachelorette’s Clare Crawley and Juan Pablo Galavis break up on ‘The Bachelor’?
So it appears Crawley and Galavis are not friends after their breakup on The Bachelor Season 18. But seeing as how the couple ended things on the reality series, it’s not exactly a surprise.
After a rocky season and a crude off-camera comment in the finale, Galavis blindsided Crawley and dumped her at the final rose ceremony. But upon her exit, the bachelorette delivered one of the most memorable moments in the franchise’s history.
“I lost respect for you,” Crawley told Galavis. “Because I’ll tell you what… I thought I knew what kind of man you were. What you made me go through, I would never want my children having a father like you.”
Then in an interview with People on March 3, Crawley revealed what she took away from her time on The Bachelor. The 38-year-old said:
I felt so thankful for my evolution of what happened on my path on The Bachelor. When my season ended, it was the biggest blessing in my life. I stood up for myself in a way that I had never done in any relationship before, or even in life. To be able to feel that strength within myself was life-changing. It was huge.
Now Crawley’s interaction with Galavis on Twitter shows she still has the same strength as she begins her own journey on The Bachelorette. And quite frankly, we’re ready to see it. Sadly, everyone will have to hold on a little longer as The Bachelorette Season 16 was postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. But hopefully, we’ll be able to witness Crawley discover the love she truly deserves — whenever that may be.
