‘The Bachelorette’: Will Connor B. or Michael A. Leave in Week 6? ABC Says 5 Men Go Home Tonight on Katie Thurston’s Season
The Bachelorette Season 17 just promised a drama-packed episode for Katie Thurston. In a new promo for week 6, ABC confirmed a whopping five contestants will go home — and yes, the preview teased who might get eliminated. Now, it seems the clues are suggesting Connor Brennan (Connor B.) and Michael Allio (Michael A.) could potentially leave The Bachelorette tonight. Here’s a breakdown of the theories.
How many people are left at the start of ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 17 Week 6?
There are currently 12 people left going into The Bachelorette Season 17 Week 6 on July 12. So Katie is still dating Connor B., Michael A., Aaron Clancy, Andrew Spencer, Blake Moynes, Brendan Scanzano, Greg Grippo, Hunter Montgomery, James Bonsall, Justin Glaze, Mike Planeta, and Tre Cooper at the start of the new episode.
That said, The Bachelorette Instagram and Twitter accounts shared a preview to reveal how many men will go home tonight. According to the promo, there will be five “surprising exits.” This means there will be six contestants left at the end of the episode.
A theory about Connor Brennan leaving in episode 6 of ‘The Bachelorette’
Now, Bachelor Nation fans will have to watch who leaves Katie’s journey in week 6 of The Bachelorette. Remember, most contestants are “shocked” when they are eliminated during a rose ceremony. So for all we know, Katie could simply send a few men home at the end of the episode.
Nevertheless, we’re starting to think Connor B. might leave in the new Bachelorette episode on July 12. According to ABC’s synopsis for week 6, there will be two one-on-one dates in the new episode. It’s likely the first one goes to Justin. The date seems wedding-themed, and multiple previews have shown Katie and Justin on a wedding photoshoot with Franco Lacosta, who will be in the week 6 episode.
The synopsis also reveals co-host Kaitlyn Bristowe and her fiancé, Jason Tartick, crash one of Katie’s one-on-one dates. However, it’s not all fun and games.
“Do Kaitlyn and Jason’s connection make Katie question her own?” the synopsis says.
Meanwhile, The Bachelorette previously previewed the week 6 group date with RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars winners Shea Couleé and Monét X Change. Connor B. and Justin are the only ones who aren’t shown. So it’s possible Connor B. goes on the one-on-one date where Katie starts to doubt her connection.
Connor B. was also highlighted in the new Bachelorette promo where ABC confirms five eliminations. In the teaser, Connor B. wears a dark suit as he hugs Katie, who is in a purple hoodie. Then later, Connor B. is wearing the same suit as he hugs the rest of Katie’s suitors. Could Connor B. leave Katie and The Bachelorette cast behind in week 6? We’ll have to wait and see.
‘The Bachelorette’ previews hint Michael Allio could leave Katie Thurston
Whatever happens between Connor B. and Katie in The Bachelorette Season 17 Week 6, the new preview suggested more than one major elimination is on the table. The teaser highlights multiple men who get emotional. There are intense shots of Brendan, Greg, Aaron, Blake, Tre, Hunter, Michael A., and Tre. But it’s the scenes with Michael A. that stand out the most.
In the preview, Michael A. is wearing a dark gray jacket. Meanwhile, Katie is wearing a baby blue top and crying. Then at the 15-second mark, the two reality stars are spotted holding hands. The first Bachelorette promo also highlights Katie in the same outfit, and she hints at a self-elimination.
“Our time together was cut too short,” Katie says.
Of course, we’re assuming the clips from the new Bachelorette preview are from the week 6 episode. But regardless, the editors appear to be telling viewers Michael A. will eventually send himself home on The Bachelorette Season 17.
Clearly, there’s plenty of drama in The Bachelorette Season 17 Episode 6 — and possibly beyond. But whoever leaves tonight, we’re hoping Katie makes it out the other end in one piece.
The Bachelorette Season 17 airs Monday nights on ABC.
