‘Bachelorette’ Fans Are Getting Annoyed That Jed Wyatt Constantly Serenades Hannah Brown

This season of The Bachelorette is quickly coming to a close, and fans are excited to see the stunning conclusion for Hannah Brown. We remember Brown initially from Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, and she’s quickly made a name for herself as the strong, beautiful, free-thinking star of the show. So far, several fan favorites are still fighting for Brown’s heart — but there’s one contestant who’s found himself in serious hot water recently.

Jed Wyatt developed a deep connection with Brown early on. Unfortunately, some harsh truths have been unearthed about his recent past before the show — and fans are totally over his obsession with singing to Brown.

While Luke Parker was the original contestant to get the most backlash, Jed Wyatt is now the one fans are after most. Haley Stevens, Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend, spoke to People back in June about her relationship with Wyatt. According to Stevens, she and Wyatt were together for four months before he took off to go for Brown’s heart — but he promised Stevens that the show would just be an obstacle in their relationship that they’d easily overcome.

“He told me [early on] that he had applied,” Stevens told People. “He said, ‘It’s probably not going to happen, but it’s a huge opportunity.'” When Stevens caught wind that Brown and Wyatt were establishing a real connection, she also explained that Wyatt reassured her it wasn’t real. “He was always so reassuring. He told me, it’s not real. It’s acting.” Then, when Wyatt returned from the show, he allegedly didn’t contact her at all. They briefly had a confrontation when they both attended the same music venue, but they haven’t spoken since.

He reportedly used the show to launch his music career

So, why would Wyatt go on The Bachelorette if he was already in a committed relationship? Stevens told People that Wyatt claimed he was only in it for his music career. “He said, ‘It’s probably not going to happen, but it’s a huge opportunity. I’m only doing this for my music.’ He only did it for his career.” She then added that Wyatt said, “He kept telling me, ‘I don’t want my dad to have to help me pay rent anymore.’ He said he only wanted to be top five … to be a major player so that it would be beneficial.”

Since hearing the news Wyatt has come forward with his own vague response to the allegations. He took to Instagram to write, “Until then, I ask that you please understand how much the actions being taken towards myself, my family, the men on the show, and above all, Hannah, are affecting all of our mental and physical health.” Unfortunately, fans have little sympathy, as they’ve taken to the comments of the photo to remind him that he’s brought all of this bad publicity upon himself.

Fans can’t stand him constantly singing to Hannah Brown

Even before Stevens came forward with her story, fans seemed on to Wyatt that perhaps he wasn’t there for the right reasons. From the start, he made it known that he was a musician — and he spent several dates with Brown singing with her and making music with him leading the way.

As one fan commented on this Instagram post of Brown’s, “I mean, good lord, the second he’s got camera time he uses it to serenade Hannah & get a close up of his playing his guitar with his cheesy song for 15 minutes of fame! … I think he’s absolutely worse than Luke.” Another added, “I liked him a lot before, but the fact he always is singing gave me the vibe he was trying to use it as a platform.” Yet another commented, “And he’s more into himself & his 15 minutes of fame, than he is to Hannah [sic].”

We’ll have to see what Brown truly think of Wyatt in the end — though she seems extremely into him thus far. And fans are also looking forward to him speaking out on the whole situation as soon as he can.
